Vinnie Paul All-Star Tributes To Be Held At Louder Than Life & Aftershock Festivals

This year’s Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals will be hosting some special all-star tributes for the late Vinnie Paul (Pantera, HELLYEAH, etc.). The sets are being curated by SiriusXM’s Jose Mangin and they will feature various artists performing Pantera and Damageplan covers.

Members of the following bands will be participating:

Louder Than Life: Five Finger Death Punch, Godsmack, HELLYEAH, Sevendust, GWAR, Bullet For My Valentine, Body Count, Kyng, Cane Hill, and more.

Aftershock: Korn, Godsmack, Deftones, HELLYEAH, Shinedown, Sevendust, GWAR, Kyng, Emmure, and more.

Mangin commented:

“Vinnie is an idol turned big time friend, and he left a massive void on this earth. When Danny [Wimmer] and Gary [Spivack] asked me to put together something special for Vin, I knew the best way to pay tribute to him would be to throw a Texas-sized jam session belting out Pan-mutha-fukkin-tera songs loud & proud! Everyone involved is doing this because they love Vinnie, and together we can all carry on his name, music and spirit forever!”

Louder Than Life will be held on September 28-30 at Champions Park in Louisville, KY and Aftershock will be held on October 13-14 at Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA.

Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Prophets Of Rage, Marilyn Manson, Etc. Set For 2017 Ozzfest Meets Knotfest

The lineup has been revealed for the 2017 Ozzfest Meets Knotfest. The event will take place at the Glen Helen Amphitheater & Festival Grounds on November 4-5, with Ozzfest set for day one and Knotfest set for day two.

Sharon Osbourne said the following:

“’Ozzfest Meets Knotfest‘ is coming back for another round. Last year we had over 75,000 people attend and we have another great lineup this year with Ozzy’s first solo show in L.A. in more than six years. This is not just another show…it’s ‘Ozzfest Meets Knotfest‘! And this year’s event means the world to me as we’ll be amongst friends like Prophets of Rage, Rob Zombie, Deftones, Marilyn Manson and Stone Sour…it’s going to be another amazing weekend.”

Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour) added:

“‘Knotfest‘ was never supposed to be exclusively about Slipknot. It was always about the things that fueled the spirit of Slipknot: music, art, passion, insanity, and the tribes that give it power. So it would make sense for Knotfest to carry on these ideas, even without Slipknot.

Because these things are the gasoline of creativity, and there’s plenty to go around, with plenty of great bands, acts and things to see. Teaming up again with Ozzfest means another weekend of the biggest, baddest, loudest and best. I hope you all will join us; it’s going to be (sic).”

Slipknot’s M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan also commented:

“It’s that incredible time again where Ozzfest and Knotfest meet up to bring all music fans together for two days of Rock and Roll. Let’s not forget the beautiful culture we are involved in and the history that is being written. Join the true passion of our concepts. I’ll see you there. Stay (sic).”

Kyng Premiere “Breathe In The Water” Music Video

Kyng have premiered a new video for the title track of their latest album “Breathe In The Water,” via Revolver. The clip takes inspiration from the Syrian refugee crisis, with Eddie Veliz offering:

“The idea for this video was to shed some light on the families in war torn countries that are trying to find a better life for their families, only to lose their children to the sea. There are too many sad stories like the one in this song that are being passed up and lost in the shuffle of social media feeds that are not given the time that they deserve and require to be processed by the human heart.”
