Islander Premiere “The Outsider” Music Video

Islander have premiered a new video for their new song “The Outsider.” Frontman Mikey Carvajal commented:

“Growing up, I was attracted to the punk rock subculture because it didn’t push me away…The Outsider is a song for anyone that feels like an outcast. Anyone that is struggling to fit in… know that you are loved, you are beautiful, and you are always welcome at Islander’s table. Don’t ever forget that.”

Islander Recruit Professional Wrestler Sting For “Crazy Crazy World” Music Video

Islander have premiered a new video for their new song “Crazy Crazy World.” The clip features professional wrestler Sting and it can be seen below:

Singer Mikey Carvajal commented:

“‘Crazy Crazy World’ is a song that everyone can relate to in one way or another. I wrote the lyrics when I was struggling with depression, but it really is an anthem for the times we are all in right now. It’s not a heavy song musically, but this whole year has been heavy enough for everyone. We wanted to contrast the heaviness with something beautiful and relatable, especially considering no one can mosh or stage dive or anything that comes along with being an aggressive band right now. Since this next record is easily the heaviest album we’ve done to date, we wanted to switch it up.”

“The visual for this song stars the wrestling legend, Sting. He is my favorite wrestler of all time, and he’s one of the coolest people I’ve ever had the honor to know or work with. In the wrestling business, when you help someone’s career, it’s known as “putting someone over.” So I really can’t thank Sting enough for putting us over. It definitely feels like Islander has finally made it to main event with this track.”

In other news, Islander and Sting are also collaborating on a limited edition merch line, which they are calling “The Tag Team Collection.” That collection will be available soon.

Islander Premiere New Song “Freedom” Featuring AJ Channer (Fire From The Gods)

Islander have premiered a new song titled “Freedom.” This track features AJ Channer (Fire From The Gods) and a lyric video for it can be found below:

Islander’s Mikey Carvajal commented:

“I believe sometimes the things we call freedom enslave us. It’s easy to get caught up in our own vices or addictions. It’s important to constantly examine ourselves by asking, ‘Is this something I have control over… or are my own desires controlling me.’ Someone once said ‘freedom isn’t the freedom to do what we want – it’s the freedom to do what is right.’ That’s what I believe.”

Channer added:

“These days the idea of freedom has been completely misconstrued and manipulated. I am especially happy to feature on this song because freedom in the political sense might be the debate now, but freedom in the spiritual sense is somewhere that we need to focus more of our energy. I believe that’s what we are saying with this song.”
