P.O.D. Announce “Satellite Over Southtown” Streaming Series

P.O.D. have announced a new streaming series, which they are calling “Satellite Over Southtown.” The virtual shows will take place at Petco Park in San Diego, CA and they will include a full album performance of “Satellite” on May 13, a full album performance of “The Fundamental Elements Of Southtown” on May 27, and a “B-Sides Rarities And Hits” set on June 10. Tickets can be found HERE.

Sonny Sandoval commented:

“As we navigate through the new norm of live performances, it’s a great feeling knowing we can still somehow connect with our fans and friends who have supported us all of these years. The idea of fans around the world online together watching us is pretty amazing!”

Traa Daniels added:

“As we get to share almost 30 years of music with our friends and family who have made this all possible, we are looking forward to sharing this moment with you all. One love!”

The group will also be hosting a pre-event Q&A session on April 13 live from their rehearsal space. The session will be moderated by John Rubeli, the Atlantic Records A&R rep who signed P.O.D. in 1998.

Corrosion Of Conformity, Slaves, Beartooth, Drowning Pool, P.O.D. (performing “Satellite” in its entirety), and Fit For A King have been added to this year’s Blue Ridge Rock Festival. P.O.D. Cancel European Tour

P.O.D. have cancelled their European tour. The band pulled the plug on the trek due to safety guidelines, travel restrictions, and festival cancellations related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The group commented:

“Family –

There is so much optimism in the world today that soon we’ll all see each other again at a P.O.D. concert. We can’t begin to tell you how much we miss playing our music and sharing our songs with you.

Unfortunately, given a number of factors, including local safety guidelines, travel restrictions, and festival cancellations, we must also do what is necessary and announce that we are cancelling the Circles European Tour.

We’ve been assured that you will receive a full refund at your original point of purchase.

The band has been using the downtime on so many projects and we know that we’ll all be together again soon.

Better days ahead!

– Sonny, Marcos, Traa, Wuv”

P.O.D. & Crobot Release New Holiday Tracks From Mascot Records’ “Christmas Rocks” EP

Mascot Records have announced that they will be releasing a new holiday EP titled “Christmas Rocks” later this year. That effort will feature tracks from P.O.D., 10 Years, Black Stone Cherry, Crobot, Dragged Under, Otherwise and Ayreon. The first two singles, P.O.D.‘s “Christmas Lullaby” and Crobot‘s “What Child Is This?,” can be found below:

P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval said the following:

“With limited time we went into the studio under the impression we were supposed to record a Rock & Roll, novelty, holiday jingle. To our surprise we came out with a Christmas lullaby that will prove, in time, to be a classic, timeless holiday song that will always be a part of your special Christmas memories from now on.”

P.O.D. guitarist Marcos Curiel added:

“‘Christmas Lullaby‘ Inspires me, gives me hope during these uncertain times. It’s a positive, beautiful, Christmas vibration. Thought provoking and heart felt. It resonates from Southtown, San Diego, all the way to the North Pole.”

Crobot frontman Brandon Yeagley also commented:

“With such a rippin’ roster of awesome bands, Mascot Records has brought us all together to help put you in the Christmas spirit! So put a bow on it and slide it under the tree! Santa, we won’t forget to leave some riffs next to your cookies. Merry Riffmas, Beardos!”
