Jarvis commented:

“In conjunction with our friends at Old Dog Haven and The World Famous BOOZEHOUNDZ (Derek & I’s satirical overly drunk punk band) we present the “99 Bottles” out on International Dog Day!!!”

Engemann added:

“This has been an epically fun project involving the entire Metal scene, and even a few Ska bands! This project originally began back in 2013, but was brought back to life once we discovered Old Dog Haven. The “99 Bottles” has truly shown the good side of humanity during these wild times that we are in. I was amazed at all of the people who were eager to sign up for a verse. Godla commented:

“By keeping the set times between 5 and 15 minutes for each artist, it allows me to not only keep things moving, but mix it up in ways that conventional festivals simply can’t. Every single hour will contain big names and emerging artists right next to each other.

I’m trying to look at the bright side of our current situation, and not only make this an entertaining way to see the artists you love flex their creativity in new ways, but hope this event acts as a place of discovery for every viewer out there.

Finding a band or artist to fall in love with is the mark of a great festival to me, and it’s my honor to share the work of these amazing individuals I curated because I’m passionate about them. I’ve been in touch with all of them every step of the way, and some even managed to throw me a few surprises.

I’m honored and humbled to have all of them part of this, they truly went above and beyond to showcase their craft for the Slay At Home fest, and I can’t wait for the world to see something really special come to life this weekend.”

Money raised from the event will benefit MusiCares and Global Giving.

Vio-lence Sign With Metal Blade Records

Vio-lence have signed a new deal with Metal Blade Records. This news comes after Phil Demmel previously said that the band were planning to record a new EP.

Sean Killian commented:

“My first real exposure to thrash metal was brought to me by Metal Blade Records in the form of Slayer‘s ‘Show No Mercy‘, which turned into my first live thrash metal show when I saw Slayer at The Keystone Berkley.

Today, being able to announce that Vio-Lence has signed an agreement to bring new music to thrash metal fans and future thrash metal fans around the world with our partners Metal Blade Records is a very proud moment for me and Vio-Lence.

Metal Blade has been involved in thrash metal since the beginning with their compilation ‘Metal Massacre‘, and they have stood the test of time because of their love for heavy music.

Thank you everyone at Metal Blade Records for believing in Vio-Lence and for being fans of the music I love.”

Metal Blade Records Open Retail Store In Las Vegas, NV

Metal Blade Records have opened their own retail store at the Antique Mall Of America in Las Vegas, NV. The store features “Metal Blade collectibles and out-of-print items that can’t be found anywhere else.” This includes rare vinyl, t-shirts, CDs, etc. Founder/CEO Brian Slagel commented:

“We have so much cool Metal Blade things that we want to share with you. This is a great way to provide fans with an opportunity to get many rare and unique items. It is a full on Metal Blade store in a unique environment here in Las Vegas. Hope you guys will all come check it out!”

YouTube Tells Metal Blade Records That Goatwhore’s “Apocalyptic Havoc” Video Is Unsuitable For Advertisers

YouTube have apparently sent an email to Metal Blade Records saying that Goatwhore’s 10-year-old video for “Apocalyptic Havoc” is unsuitable for advertisers. The label shared a photo of the message on Twitter:

Midnight Sign With Metal Blade Records, Premiere New Song “Rebirth By Blasphemy”

Midnight have signed a new deal with Metal Blade Records. With this news, the band have also premiered a new single titled “Rebirth By Blasphemy.” The song will serve as the title track of their upcoming album and it can be purchased digitally and on 7″ vinyl HERE. Athenar had the following to say about signing with Metal Blade:

“Well, I sent a demo tape of my band to Metal Blade Records back in 1987. It only took them 32 years to respond and guess what? They want to release a record! Patience is a virtue. Now YOU WAIT until this new album comes out so you can bang your fucking skull against a brick wall while cranking the stereo at neighbor destroying volume!”

Angel Witch Sign With Metal Blade Records

Angel Witch have signed a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records. The band’s new album is expected to be released through the label this winter.

The group commented:

“It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a decade since we recorded our last album and it is so exciting for us, personally, to have another record fully finished and in the bag which reflects the passion and chemistry of the lineup we have enjoyed over the last two and a half years.

When looking for a label to release material we were so vibed up on, we knew we needed a team around us who shared the same level of enthusiasm for the project that the band members have and, even though we’re still a month away from street date, it already feels like we have found just that in the Metal Blade family: their perfect balance of understanding where were coming from, their own, subtle, creative input, diligent adherence to the timelines which curb our internal prevarications, and the ability to ask, ‘Do you really think that’s going to work lads?’ When needed, has made all the difference in turning eight songs we recorded in rainy Leeds into a fully fledged album project. What else would you expect from an international company staffed entirely by heavy metal fans?”

Before the band release the album, they will be offering fans a taste of the new material with a special cassette featuring pro-tape and a xeroxed inlay. Only 100 will be available and if you want one, you will have to win it through Gleam. Angel Witch said the following about that:

“Seeing how the opening cut from our new album has some riff, structure and melody ideas (not to mention the title — which we can’t tell you yet) culled from an old Angel Witch live tape that was traded extensively back in the mid-eighties, we thought it would only be right and proper to dub up some copies of the song onto cassette and give you the chance to get your hands on one for yourself. If you win, put it on your trade list and dub it for your contacts. And, please, send back my stamps!”

Intronaut Sign With Metal Blade Records

Intronaut have signed a new deal with Metal Blade Records. The band’s new album is expected to be released through the label in 2020.

Sacha Dunable commented:

“Intronaut are very excited to work with the legendary Metal Blade Records for our upcoming album and beyond. We’ve spent almost four years writing this thing, and it’s by far the most intense record we’ve ever made. It’s only fitting that it will come out on the most legit metal label around.”

Revocation Re-Sign With Metal Blade Records

Revocation have officially re-signed with Metal Blade Records. The band issued the following statement:

“We’ve been on quite a journey since we signed with Metal Blade and dropped ‘Deathless‘ back in 2014. We’ve released 3 full-length albums in just 5 years and each one has taken us to the next level. That’s why today I’m very excited to announce that Revocation is re-signing with Metal Blade Records! We look forward to what this future partnership will bring and we can’t wait to unleash another barrage of ripping tunes upon the metal masses!”
