Recording the live version of ‘Breaking News‘ with Tim was everything a punk recording should be; Fast, Live, and Real. We hit it off right away and getting him to shoot the video in that classic black and white Rancid style was icing on the cake.”

The Bronx have premiered a new song titled “Mexican Summer.” This track is from the band’s new album “Bronx VI,” which will be released on August 27. Frontman Matt Caughthran commented:

“Musically and lyrically, ‘Mexican Summer‘ is the most The Bronx has ever directly influenced by Mariachi el Bronx. The feel and groove of the song speak to you in rhythm, as the story of one man’s paradise lost burns violently into the night.”

In other news, the group have also teamed up with filmmaker Craig Stecyk to create a new skateboard featuring artwork inspired by the track. Only 225 are available and more details can be found at juicemagazine.com.

“Every Bronx record has a backbone track, a sonic anchor that sets the tone for the entire album. ‘Curb Feelers‘ is the rock that the rest of the record breaks itself against.”
