Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton Premieres Music Video For His Cover Of Pearl Jam’s “Black”

Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton has premiered a new video for his cover of Pearl Jam‘s “Black.“ This track features Sons Of Texas’ Mark Morales and it is featured on Morton’s latest EP “Ether.” Morton commented:

“The early 90s was such an important and vibrant time for rock music in general, and I feel like ‘Black‘ is one of the great songs from that era. Our approach in covering it was to present a super stripped down version, sticking to the essence of the song. It’s got a very lonely feel to it and Mark Morales delivered an absolutely incredible vocal performance.”

Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton Premieres New Video For “All I Had To Lose” Feat. Sons Of Texas’ Mark Morales

Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton has premiered a new video for his song “All I Had To Lose.” This track features Sons Of Texas’ Mark Morales and it is featured on Morton’s new EP “Ether,” which was released today (January 17).

Morton told Loudwire the following about the song:

“’All I Had To Lose’ is a very personal song to me, especially lyrically. It’s about two people inspiring one another to get better. It’s about surviving trauma and chaos and addiction. It’s about finding gratitude and hope.”

He also added the following about the video:

“I recently did an acoustic tour in the U.K. with Mark Morales and guitarist Joe Harvatt. Before our show in Manchester we went to a studio and shot a simple performance video for ‘All I Had To Lose.’ The song is relatively stripped down and we wanted the video reflect that. We just wanted to showcase the acoustic guitar and Mark Morales’ voice as best we good. We used the all white and all black settings to show the contrast of the song lyrically.”

Morton commented:

“I’m thrilled to announce the upcoming release of my new, five song EP, ‘Ether,’ on Rise Records! Once again, I’ve had the great pleasure of working with some amazingly talented artists and friends to assemble this collection of tunes, all of which feature a strong acoustic guitar component.

Inspired by the acoustic sets I had the opportunity to perform last spring and summer in support of ‘Anesthetic,’ I began writing some new songs to reflect that more mellow vibe. I’m stoked with the results and I can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’ve been putting together. I’ll be debuting these tunes on my upcoming U.K. acoustic tour, so you can hear them live before they’re released anywhere else!

I continue to be honored to have the chance to work with so many incredibly talented people and I remain beyond grateful to the fans that have come along with me and supported these projects. Thanks so much everyone!”
