Reach NYC Premiere New Song “Automatic” Featuring Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton

Reach NYC have premiered a new song titled “Automatic.“ This track features Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton and Reach NYC’s Rene Mata had the following to say about it:

“We delved into our ’90s vibe and love of Foo Fighters‘ The Colour and The Shape, At the Drive-In‘s Relationship and Command, and Jimmy Eat World‘s Clarity meets Queens of the Stone Age‘s Rated R. It’s all about Nick Cavagnaro‘s angular guitar attack and Dante Renzi‘s machine-gunned, syncopated grooves. Melodically, I went for a ‘driving fast in your car’ melody attack on the verses, a climb on the pre-chorus, and a sledgehammer on the choruses. We also have a tasty ripper guest solo from my buddy Mark Morton from Lamb of God. It definitely gives you GN’R-Slash-circa-Appetite-for-Destruction feels. Jay Baumgardner topped it off with a bombastic mix!”

“Empathy” 11.07.2020, Richmond, VA. CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, ABC, CBS… all the major news networks have just called the 2020 Presidential election for Joe Biden & Kamala Harris. Although these are just projections by media outlets (nothing is official until the members of the Electoral College cast their votes on Dec. 14th, 2020, then announced by a joint session of Congress on Jan. 6, 2021), & although there will be a lot of lawsuits brought forth by Donald Trump who will not concede anytime soon (or ever?), it’s obvious that it’s OVER- Joe Biden will be the 46th President of the United States. At this time, I would like to encourage everyone, no matter who you voted for, to behave with some class; to speak & act with some empathy. This country has been consumed by a toxic polarity- it is time for that toxicity to end, because it is not sustainable & it does not accomplish anything. We are all tired. We all have strong feelings. It is time to act like adults with correctly calibrated moral compasses. My feelings about President Trump (& politicians in general, for that matter) are well known, but I have zero reason to gloat. That is childish, & it accomplishes nothing. Instead I will choose to act with empathy, & hope that some level of civility will return to American discourse across the board. I just came back from a “Stop the Steal” rally near the VA State Capitol, where I shot these photos. No one was rude to me, & they announced from the beginning that it would be a peaceful protest- that is their right, & although I disagree with them, I support their right- they are my countrymen & women. These people are going to be very upset today- I will show people like this empathy in the hope that we can find common ground somehow, & that this terrible atmosphere that has hung over America for the last 4 years will begin to lift. It HAS to, or we all are screwed. Please- let’s all start talking to each other again. I hope you all have a good day- now, I’m going surfing. Peace. #Leica #LeicaCamera #LeicaCameraUSA #LeicaM #LeicaM10P #LeicaM10Ptyp3656 #🔴📷 #Summilux #Summilux50mm #LeicaCraft #MadeInWetzlar #drandallblythe #RatsEyesPhotography #honetheaesthetic

Congratulations to President Elect Joe Biden and trailblazer Kamala Harris !!! It’s been hard for me to stay silent over the last few days, weeks, months, but I felt it would be wrong to interfere in even the smallest way in the politics of another country. But there is a part of me that will always be rooted in the USA – I love America and have felt profound pain watching its freedoms and decency being eroded. I can now finally speak up. I feel massive joy – I see this is a victory for the people by the people – and hopefully just in time to make it possible to start to heal the terrible damage that has been done to the American Nation and its standing in the World in recent times. I’m thrilled for my dear American friends, that they have taken this step to reclaim compassion, justice, truth, accountability, and dignity. I’m well aware that America is split as to whether Trump as a president was a Champ or a Chump. But what you guys will discover over the next few weeks is that the rest of the world was NOT split. The whole world, like me, is rejoicing with you at this moment – feeling that we are getting our best friend back – our friend America. Yes – I will pray for unity and decent debate, with some great Rebublicans sharing the work load in the new regime. And – Yes – at last – the United States of America can again be Champions of the World !!! Bri

Watch Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton And Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale Perform Quarantine Acoustic Cover Of The Black Crowes’ “She Talks To Angels”

Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton and Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale recently performed a quarantine acoustic cover of The Black Crowes’ “She Talks To Angels” as part of the September 4 episode of “Raise Your Horns.” You can watch that below at the 42:30 mark.

Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton Featured In Live Nation’s “Backstage With Crew Nation” Series

Live Nation have launched a new series, titled “Backstage With Crew Nation,” on their “Live From Home” platform in conjunction with Crew Nation. The videos will focus on the relationships between touring artists and their crews. The first episode finds Lamb Of God’s Mark Morton chatting with the band’s guitar tech Jake Hobbs.

Lamb Of God, Clutch, & Stinking Lizaveta Members Share New Song “The Burnt Offerings”

Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton, Clutch drummer Jean-Paul Gaster, and Stinking Lizaveta guitarist Yanni Papadopoulos have shared a new song titled “The Burnt Offerings.” The track, which also features vocalist Naeemah Maddox and keyboardist Chris Brooks, was released under the name Morton Gaster Papadopoulos.

Papadopoulos told The Obelisk the following:

“This were my riffs that I brought to the table when jamming with Mark and JP. Those guys took the parts and rearranged them in a less linear order and Mark added his own fills in the spaces. Of course Naeemah wrote her own parts to the arrangement with lyrics, vox and flute.

Chris Brooks filled in the keys. However, it all started with a bassline which I thought JP could really sink his teeth into. J. Robbins was great to work with, he knew just how to make sense of it all. What your hearing is virtually a live in the studio track. Mark’s solo was cut live with bass and drums with no edits. First take magic!”

Maddox added:

“In the current social climate it is no longer sufficient to be non-racist. One must be anti-racist. This moment demands true accountability, and real change.

Transnational corporations stating their support for BLM should only be taken as sincere if they also advocate and lobby for social reforms like a living wage, universal healthcare, and defunding and demilitarising the police; using these new freed up resources to reinvest in vulnerable communities that need it most.

The time has long passed for petty sloganeering and cynical tokenism. Being against police brutality in 2020 shouldn’t even be a political issue. This is a failure of our society and goes beyond political persuasion. This is about human rights and creating a world our children would want to live in.”
