Piggy D. commented:

“We picked our covers for our Knott’s this year from Halloween playlists we’ve created over the years. One song that has been a staple ever since I could make playlists, was this Bowie song. The original version has such a unique vibe, that it really took some years to figure out how to bring our own thing to it. It’s surely a fun one for me to sing on a little more than I do most of our other tunes. It’s certainly become a song that defines us and our audience and gets a party started!”

“David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ is one of my favorite songs ever, and a chance to tip our hat to all those frontline workers on every level from the grocery stores, to the policeman and firefighters, doctors etc. that put their own lives at risk & do their jobs to help others. For us it kind of sums up 2020, the whole year. And to release it so close to David Bowie’s birthday just makes it that more special.”

He also added the following about “Heroes,” which was the last track that the band recorded for the album:

“With the addition of ‘Heroes’, it made sense to help those who are struggling from the effects of COVID-19. It probably wouldn’t have happened without it.”

Psychosexual (Ex-Five Finger Death Punch) Release New Covers EP “Songs To Stalk You By”

Psychosexual, the band fronted by ex-Five Finger Death Punch drummer Jeremy Spencer, have released a new covers EP titled “Songs To Stalk You By.“ The effort includes the group’s takes on KISS’ “Watchin’ You,” Stone Temple Pilots’ “Sex Type Thing,” Queensrÿche’s “Gonna Get Close To You,” Type O Negative’s “Love You To Death,” David Bowie’s “Love You Till Tuesday,” and The Police’s “Every Breath You Take.” Notably, ex-Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook guests on “Watchin’ You” and “Gonna Get Close To You.” Spencer commented:

“This is a fun little compilation of bands I love. There is definitely a tongue-in-cheek creepiness to the themes that tie the songs together, and that’s what made them so much fun to record. The fact that stalking and social distancing go hand-in-hand is just a happy coincidence.”
