Sammy Hagar & The Circle have premiered a new video for their cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Lockdown 2020” and all proceeds from it will be donated to food banks nationwide. Hagar commented:

“David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ is one of my favorite songs ever, and a chance to tip our hat to all those frontline workers on every level from the grocery stores, to the policeman and firefighters, doctors etc. that put their own lives at risk & do their jobs to help others. For us it kind of sums up 2020, the whole year. And to release it so close to David Bowie’s birthday just makes it that more special.”

Sabaton Celebrate One Million YouTube Subscribers With Animated Video For “No Bullets Fly”

Sabaton have officially hit one million subscribers on YouTube and the band are celebrating by releasing an animated story video for “No Bullets Fly” off their 2014 album “Heroes.” You can check that out below. The group commented:

Sammy Hagar & The Circle To Release “Lockdown 2020” In January

Sammy Hagar & The Circle have announced a new album titled “Lockdown 2020.” The effort will be released on January 8 and it will feature mostly covers that were tracked during the band’s “Lockdown Sessions.” Fans that pre-order the album will receive the group’s cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” as an instant-grat track. Notably, all proceeds from that single will be donated to food banks nationwide.

A new video has been released for Motörhead’s previously unreleased cover of David Bowie‘s “Heroes,” which was recorded during the “Bad Magic“ sessions. The track will appear on the band’s new covers compilation, “Under Cöver,” which will be released on September 1.

Phil Campbell said the following about that song:

“It’s such a great Bowie song, one of his best, and I could only see great things coming out of it from us, and so it proved to be. And Lemmy ended up loving our version.”

Mikkey Dee added:

“He was very, very proud of it, not only because it turned out so well but because it was fun! Which is what projects like this should be – fun!”
