Watch Footage From Recent Virtual Ozzfest Event

Earlier this month, a virtual Ozzfest event was held inside the metaverse as part of the Metaverse Music Festival. The web3-enabled concert took place inside Decentraland and it included sets from Ozzy Osbourne, Motörhead, Megadeth, Black Label Society, The Raven Age, Skid Row, and Britof. Some performances featured virtual avatars, while others featured previously released videos.

Zakk Wylde Launches Online Guitar Course “Zakk Wylde Berzerker Guitar Camp”

Zakk Wylde has joined forces with Riffhard to launch an online guitar course called “Zakk Wylde Berzerker Guitar Camp.” The class also includes contributions from the guitarist’s Black Label Society bandmate Dario Lorina. More information can be found HERE.

The following was said about the course:

“The online course is broken down into 10 sections with over 94 individual videos and over 12 hours of lessons for the student to dive into. In each section, Zakk offers insight into each topic being explored and shows firsthand how they play and learn these integral parts of guitar playing. The lessons will enhance all players’ knowledge of the guitar in fun and informative videos as only Zakk can deliver.

The course breakdown for the Zakk Wylde Berzerker Guitar Camp is:

Anthrax & Black Label Society Cancel Rochester, NY Show

Anthrax and Black Label Society have cancelled their August 19 show in Rochester, NY due to “production issues.” The following statement was issued:

“Due to unforeseen production issues, the show tonight at the Main Street Armory in Rochester had to be canceled by both Anthrax and Black Label Society as it was unsafe for the bands to perform. Anthrax and Black Label Society do not cancel shows lightly but we could not put the health and safety of the bands and crew at risk. All of the bands tonight apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment. We will be back to Rochester to rock another time. Refunds are available at the point of purchase starting Tuesday August 23.”

Anthrax Cancel Austin, TX Show “Due To A Medical Concern”

Anthrax have now cancelled a second concert due to an undisclosed “medical concern.” The band will be sitting out tonight’s (August 9) show with Black Label Society and Hatebreed in Austin, TX. The group commented:

“Charlie, Scott, Frank, Joey and Jon are really sorry to let their fans in Austin know that due to a medical concern, Anthrax has to cancel its show tonight at Stubbs Waller Creek Amphitheatre. Black Label Society and Hatebreed are still performing tonight, so the band hopes you’ll come out and rock with them. Refunds are available until the venue box office closes at 9 p.m. tonight, or at point of purchase. Everyone in the band looks forward to seeing their Austin fans soon!”

Anthrax Cancel Dallas, TX Show “Due To A Medical Concern”

Anthrax have cancelled tonight’s (August 8) show in Dallas, TX “due to a medical concern.” Despite this, Black Label Society and Hatebreed will perform as planned.

Anthrax commented:

“We are sorry to let you know that due to a medical concern, Anthrax have to cancel tonight’s show in Dallas. Black Label Society and Hatebreed are still performing tonight, come and rock out with them! Refunds are available until box office closes at (9 p.m.)”

Guitarist Scott Ian added:

“We’ve waited so long to be able to celebrate our 40th anniversary and are so disappointed that we won’t be able to do so tonight – frankly, it blows. Thank you for your support and understanding, and stay safe.”

Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society) Releases New Video Game “Zakk Wylde’s Punchout!!”

Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society) has released a new video game called “Zakk Wylde’s Punchout!!.” The game is based on the “Punch-Out!!” series and it can be played HERE. Furthermore, Black Label Society have also launched a contest that will give fans a chance to win a guitar and more. This news comes as the band are currently on tour with Anthrax and Hatebreed.

The Red Chord, Bleeding Through, Terror, Etc. Added To 2022 Tattoo The Earth Festival

More bands have been added to this year’s Tattoo The Earth festival. The event will take place at The Palladium outdoors in Worcester, Massachusetts on August 27 and the updated lineup includes: Anthrax, Black Label Society, Hatebreed, The Red Chord, At The Gates, Municipal Waste, Bleeding Through, Terror, Crowbar, Overcast, Within The Ruins, Enforced, and Spirit Adrift.
