Ov Sulfur Share Video For New Song “Befouler” Featuring Slaughter To Prevail’s Alex Terrible

Ov Sulfur have premiered a new video for their new song “Befouler.” The track, which features Slaughter To Prevail’s Alex Terrible, is from the band’s new album “The Burden Ov Faith,” which will be released on March 24.

Vocalist Ricky Hoover (ex-Suffokate) commented:

“Breaking away from our constant blasphemy, ‘Befouler‘ focuses on real-life heretics who say one thing to your face but believe another. They use this false front as a pathetic defense to slowly plot your demise.

This type of life became foreign to me in my years away from the music industry, but it seems the more you’re in the public eye, the more you face dissenters and weaklings. I’ve made so many great friends through the industry, but this one is a middle finger to those who are too cowardly to even spit in your face because they only open their mouth while hiding theirs.”

Guitarist Chase Wilson added:

“This is easily our most energetic song. The technical riffing keeps you banging your head so hard you just might get lightheaded while singing along to the anthemic chorus – shout out to Ricky! By the time you get to the end, you’ve basically given yourself short-term memory loss and forgotten that Alex Terrible comes in to just bludgeon you to death on the final breakdown.

For the video, we went with a tale of revenge that ties our early single and EP artworks to ‘The Burden Ov Faith‘. Rather than go with the typical animated video, we wanted it to be almost like a moving painting or storybook, complete with hyper-stylized art from the super talented Anastasia Solti. We had our friend Dylan Gould add some extra effects to really make it pulse with the music, and we’re very excited to have a unique visual for one of our collective favorite songs from the album!”

Left To Suffer, The Last Ten Seconds Of Life, Etc. Drop Off Kentucky Irate Fest

More bands have decided to pull out of the upcoming Kentucky Irate Fest. Among them are: Left To Suffer, The Last Ten Seconds Of Life, Kaonashi, Born A New, Downswing, Boundaries, Summoning The Lich, Kingz & Thieves, The Behest Of Serpents, The Delirium Effect, Inferious, Fight From Within, and more. This news comes after Isolator, Artica, Belushi Speed Ball, Wake Up In Tsunami, etc. previously dropped off the event.

The cancellations came about due to buy-on practices, ticket selling quotas, and more. On top of that, Until The Dead Walk were also dropped from the festival and their tour with Filth after vocalist Ren Young was accused of rape by Sero\\tonin vocalist Melissa George. Young was reportedly an investor in the festival, so the troubling allegations are playing a role in the departures as well.

Several bands issued statements:

Left To Suffer:

“In light of recent events we feel like it’s in our best interest to back out of Kentucky Irate Fest. We are sorry to anyone who planned on coming out to see us. We promise we will be back and can’t wait to be back on the road this coming fall. Love you all ❤️”

The Last Ten Seconds Of Life:

“We will not be performing at Kentucky Irate Festival on 8/26 We will still be announcing the new line up next weekend”

Born A New:

“it’s time. we hate to do it, but unfortunately due to recent events and how it’s all unfolded over this past week, we’ve made the decision to also respectfully back out of Kentucky Irate Fest. we did everything within our control to try and make a born a new set happen, but this is for our best interest. we are deeply sorry to all who planned on hanging with us and catching our set. we promise to make it up to y’all, we will be back Louisville. we love y’all 💙”

Downswing:

“We will no longer be performing at Kentucky Irate Fest. Unfortunately this means we will have to cancel our surrounding tour dates as well due to logistical issues. We are so incredibly sorry to anyone that was looking forward to seeing us and to all of the bands/promoters playing or putting on the shows we had booked around this festival. We’re extremely disappointed and angered by the events we have learned about this past week. It’s a shame that something like a heavy music fest meant to unite a scene has done the complete opposite”

The Kentucky Irate Fest is currently scheduled to go on as planned at The MG Prime Entertainment Complex in Louisville, KY on August 26-28. Organizers issued the following statement:

“A lot of misinformation is out there about our festival. Below is a list of CONFIRMED bands to still be performing at Irate Festival (the agents and managers have confirmed their involvement still with our festival). Yes, our venue is behind a Marathon gas station, it is a 2 acre lot that has plenty of room for stages. Yes, we have stages and a full sound team. Yes, we have a high end backline being provided. Yes, we have the same food trucks. YES, our festival is still happening. New set times will be released in the coming days. Sorry for all the drama and issues surrounding our festival, but we promise you it will still be an amazing event!

Slaughter To Prevail Premiere “1984” Music Video

Slaughter To Prevail have premiered a new video for their new song “1984.” You can check that out below. Aleksandr “Alex Terrible” Shikolai commented:

“This song I wrote when war got started. I can’t stay silent about all this situation. We made a simple video clip just to say what we think about the war and wanted to post it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out quickly. This song is not the usual. It’s not like us. But this is the cry of my soul. War is always a huge tragedy for everyone. Please stop the violence and this war. I know many of you wanted to hear something different from us. But right now we want do it this way and sounds like that. This is our message. I am from Russia. I love my country, I love our fans from there and I can’t believe it goes so far from 2014. God save us all. Stay human.”
