Light The Torch Drop Off Fall Tour With GWAR After Being “Unable To Find An Affordable Reliable Vehicle To Tour In”

Light The Torch have dropped off their upcoming tour with GWAR, Nekrogoblikon, and Crobot. The band had to sit out the trek after being “unable to find an affordable reliable vehicle to tour in.”

Light The Torch issued the following statement:

“It’s with great disappointment that we must announce we are pulling off the upcoming fall GWAR tour as well as the one Light The Torch headline show on Sep-17 in Columbus, OH. Since confirming the GWAR tour 2 months ago, we’ve been unable to find an affordable reliable vehicle to tour in, and with the tour starting in just a week we’re at the point where we can’t keep everyone in limbo. It’s such a unique time for touring bands right now with touring essentials in such high demand and low supply, something we’re experiencing first hand.

We sincerely apologize to the GWAR camp that we couldn’t find a way to make this happen. They have been nothing but accommodating and we know it would’ve been an amazing tour for us to do. We’re truly heartbroken and wish we had better news.

We encourage you all to still check out the tour when it comes to your town, featuring GWAR, Nekrogoblikon and Crobot.

Thanks to all of our fans for your understanding and continued support. We miss being out there and look forward to seeing you all again soon. Until then, stay safe and be well. Love LTT.”

Light The Torch, Weekend Nachos, & Pain Ritual Members Guest On New Ether Coven Song “Consequences Of Self”

Howard Jones (Light The Torch), Andy Nelson (Weekend Nachos), and Anthony Crupi (Pain Ritual) are featured on a new Ether Coven song titled “Consequences Of Self.” You can find an official video for that track below. The band’s new album, “The Relationship Between The Hammer And The Nail,” will be released on August 5.

Peter “Mean Pete” Kowalsky commented:

“This turned out to be one of my favorite moments of the record. We had a good starting point and when we were in the studio it really got dialed in with extra guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. As unlikely as it may seem, The Weeknd was a huge inspiration for the vocal harmonies, which Andy Nelson at Bricktop helped hone in.

This song is about the consequences of our actions and what we do with our intentions; whether we are trying to build or destroy, living the repercussions of our choices, what we do to move forward, and how foolish to believe we are above consequence. Howard Jones helped us on some lines on this one. Blood Has Been Shed has been a keystone of my musical pallet and influence since the first time I heard them and his voice has always been so fucking big.”

Blöthar The Berserker commented:

“Long ago, GWAR broke the frame of what a rock concert can be. We’ve pushed the envelope of live performance for decades, but this time around, we wanted to do something different. This is the first GWAR show conceived to go along with a graphic novel and an album, all working together as one massive hunk of hot steaming shock rock performance ART!

A can’t-miss cavalcade of chaos, a trash culture trilogy, a shocking extravaganza that will leave you utterly spent, soaking wet, and bawling uncontrollably. We’ve got the coolest storyline, unbelievable new characters, more blood, gore, and gags than ever before. Come, unload your worries, human scum, and let GWAR transport you to the Duoverse of absurdity just in time for the NEW DARK AGE!”

Jesse Leach (Killswitch Engage) commented:

“The long wait is finally over. We worked very hard to carefully piece this tour back together properly. After the tour was shut down two days in when it started in 2020, we are bringing it back! We are honored and stoked to have August Burns Red and Howard Jones and the boys in Light the Torch along to make this an ‘all killer, no filler’ lineup.”

Howard Jones (Light The Torch) added:

“FINALLY! We get to pick up where we left off on the Atonement tour with KsE and ABR! We couldn’t be more excited to resume with the same lineup, and additional dates have been added so don’t miss this noisy party. Now, stop reading this and get your tickets. GO! This will be a tour to remember and you do not want to miss it!”
