Thotcrime Premiere New Song “This Is My Breakdown, I Get To Pick The Music” Featuring The Callous Daoboys’ Carson Pace

Thotcrime have teamed up with Carson Pace (The Callous Daoboys) for a new song titled “This Is My Breakdown, I Get To Pick The Music.” That track is from the band’s new album “D1G1T4L_DR1FT,” which will be released on October 28.

Guitarist Malady Jane commented:

“The origin of this track was a voice memo Hayley [Sparxx – vocals] sent me where she sang the guitar riff into her phone mic – I copied down what I heard to guitar and slowly but surely the song evolved into this wild mix of chaotic mathgrind and manic, sugary happy hardcore.”

“The Callous Daoboys were one of the first bands that started getting me into heavier music, so being able to work with Carson was truly an honor. The interplay between them and Hayley lends a frantic energy to the track that makes it one of my favorites on the record.”

The Callous Daoboys To Release New Album “Celebrity Therapist” In September, Premiere “What Is Delicious? Who Swarms?” Video

The Callous Daoboys have revealed the details for their new album “Celebrity Therapist.” The effort will be released on September 2 and the cover art and track listing for it can be found below:

“Celebrity Therapist” Track Listing:

01. “Violent Astrology”
02. “A Brief Article Regarding Time Loops”
03. “Beautiful Dude Missile”
04. “Title Track”
05. “Field Sobriety Practice”
06. “The Elephant Man In the Room”
07. “What Is Delicious? Who Swarms?”
08. “Star Baby”

Vocalist Carson Pace said the following about the album:

“The whole album is about history repeating itself and how we kind of move in circles. It’s two steps forward and three steps back with a bunch of people in my life. The album is me reflecting on these people but realizing I’m guilty of the same at the end of the record. There are a lot of ‘fuck you’ songs because every heavy band likes writing those. But overall, the lyrics are more introspective and quite loving.”

“‘Celebrity Therapist‘ speaks to sense for the senseless. Who guards the blind, and who leads? What do we have, if not foresight? Misattribute these lyrics. We’re all following someone’s voice. But listen, the world ended again today. We brought you flowers, and something new.”

A video for the effort’s first single, “What Is Delicious? Who Swarms?,” can be found below. Pace added the following about that track:

“You can’t spot an angel-in-disguise, but you won’t refuse her. You’ve got a quick draw. The dust piles higher by the day/where you avert your eyes.”
