After a long 2022 of touring the world, the ‘Live & In Monochrome‘ tour is our way of being able to play some older songs to our oldest fans (or newer fans that missed us back at the start), before making a head-start on LP3.

We can’t wait!”

Alpha Wolf & Holding Absence Premiere “60cm Of Steel” Music Video

Alpha Wolf and Holding Absence have premiered a new video for their new song “60cm Of Steel.” This track is from their new collaborative EP “The Lost & The Longing,” which was officially released today (August 15).

Alpha Wolf‘s Sabian Lynch commented:

“When writing during lockdown, we wrote the instrumental for 60cm and didn’t quite know where it’d sit for us, we loved it but didn’t know how to move forward with it. That wasn’t until we had the idea of the Split EP with Holding Absence and knew this would be incredible with Lucas’ voice helping us out. This collaboration made this song one of our most powerful yet and teaming up with Holding Absence helped us convey everything we wanted when building this track.

We teamed up with Third Eye Visuals yet again for the visuals but this time approached the video with a more cinematic look rather than what we’re known for when teaming up, we love to throw curve balls occasionally.

Ben (Third Eye Visuals) really took the lyrics on board when piecing together the ideas for this music video and we love how it came together, he managed to portray our idea of the extent that artists go for their art perfectly, because often in todays world it feels as though you need to really invoke some inner demons just to create what is to be deemed as ‘successful art’.”

Holding Absence Premiere “Coffin” Music Video

Holding Absence have premiered a new video for their new song “Coffin.” This track is from the band’s new split EP with Alpha Wolf. That effort is titled “The Lost & The Longing” and it will be available on August 15. Vocalist Lucas Woodland commented:

“We’re ecstatic to release ‘Coffin‘ today! This song is very much about finding hope in unexpected places, and feels like a real special step forwards for our band. We had the chance to experiment with pianos and ambience more than ever before, but still without compromising the Holding Absence sound. Super hyped for people to hear this one!”

Alpha Wolf & Holding Absence To Release New Split EP “The Lost & The Longing” In August

Alpha Wolf and Holding Absence have announced a new split EP called “The Lost & The Longing.” The effort will be released on August 15 and its first single, “Aching Longing,” can be found below:

“The Lost & The Longing” Track Listing:

01. Alpha Wolf – “60cm Of Steel” (feat. Holding Absence)
02. Alpha Wolf – “Hotel Underground”
03. Holding Absence – “Aching Longing” (feat. Alpha Wolf)
04. Holding Absence – “Coffin”

Holding Absence’s Lucas Woodland commented:

“We’re ecstatic to be announcing ‘The Lost & The Longing‘, our split EP with Alpha Wolf! They are a band we’ve loved as people and musicians for years now, and we’re so grateful they wanted to drop this release with us. We can’t wait for people to hear our two new singles ‘Aching Longing‘ and ‘Coffin,’ too! ‘Aching Longing‘ is our band at its heaviest yet, and ‘Coffin‘ is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. We are always trying to stretch our band into new shapes, and can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve produced with these two tracks!”

Alpha Wolf’s Sabian Lunch added:

“We first met Holding Absence back in 2019 at the Impericon fests in Europe and we got along like a house on fire. We really enjoy their super catchy tunes and luckily enough they enjoy our heavy tunes. We talked a bunch over social media and kept up to date with what they were doing and when Lucas (jokingly) mentioned that we should do a split, it surprisingly just seemed like the best idea ever. We both released albums around the same time and it made sense, timing-wise, for us both to release new music at the same time. Working with them has been a breeze and we’d do it again in a heartbeat.”
