Paradise Lost Premiere “Darker Thoughts” Video

Paradise Lost have premiered a new video for their new song “Darker Thoughts.“ This track is from the band’s new album “Obsidian,” which was released today (May 15). Frontman Nick Holmes commented:

“Musically, this is a song of 2 halves and was originally written as an intro towards the end of the ‘Obsidian‘ writing process. As a result, it’s one of the more spontaneous songs on the album. Lyrically, it’s a song about choosing the wrong path – failing to look before you leap, and dealing with the consequence of dubious decisions.”

Watch First Trailer For “Paradise City” TV Series

A trailer for the first season of “Paradise City” has been released online. The show, which is a spin-off of the 2017 film “American Satan,” features: Andy Biersack (Black Veil Brides), Ben Bruce (Asking Alexandria), BooBoo Stewart, Bella Thorne, the late Cameron Boyce, Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens), Randy Blythe (Lamb Of God), Juliet Simms, Sid Wilson (Slipknot), Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper, etc.), Javier Reyes (Animals As Leaders), Jose Mangin, and more. Here’s an official synopsis:

“The lives of a rock star with ties to the occult and a young rookie kid who idolizes him collide through their broken homes built by the music business.”

Paradise Lost Premiere “Ghosts” Lyric Video

Paradise Lost have premiered a lyric video for their new song “Ghosts.“ This track is from the band’s new album “Obsidian,” which will be released on May 15. Frontman Nick Holmes commented:

“This song tips a cap to the goth rock music that was ubiquitous when we were teenagers. Even as young Death metal fans, a lot of that old 80’s music is still very much the soundtrack of our early lives. Lyrically it’s about being haunted by the past and a shallow belief in something you hope will destroy the demons.”

Paradise Lost Premiere “Fall From Grace” Video

Paradise Lost have premiered a new video for their new song “Fall From Grace.” This track is from the band’s new album “Obsidian,“ which will be released on May 15.

Frontman Nick Holmes commented:

“This is a song about struggling through difficult times, and a point blank refusal to accept that the end is within range.”

Guitarist Greg Mackintosh added:

“The first song written for ‘Obsidian‘ so probably one of the closest in style to the previous album ‘Medusa‘. It has quite a few different elements to it but is essentially a classic PL song. Doom laden, but hopefully heartfelt and subtle in places.”

Paradise Lost have posted a teaser for their new song “Fall From Grace.“ The full track will debut on Friday (March 20) and it will also appear on the band’s new album “Obsidian“ (out May 15).

Bert McCracken Discusses The Used’s New Album, Says The Band Might Open For My Chemical Romance On Upcoming Tour

UPDATE: The Used’s new album is actually called “Heartwork.” The below mentioned interview was conducted before the title was changed.

Original Story:

During an interview with Kaytie of Razor 94.7 104.7, The Used’s Bert McCracken talked a bit about the band’s new album “Paradise Lost.” On top of that, the frontman also seemed to suggest that the band will be opening for My Chemical Romance on their North American tour.

McCracken said the following about the new record:

“We had about 30 songs finished and I think there’s only 15 on the record so we’ll have a really cool B-Sides record coming out hopefully later this year. We wanted the record to kinda showcase the different elements within the studio.

Like some of the songs sound straight live like you would be hearing them from the stage. And some of the songs are kind of back to the first and second record style of production where it’s like some of the sounds are full production, its full like you’re in a little world of your own inside these songs.”

He also added the following about the title track:

“There’s a little arrangement in a song we made with a really special poem of mine, its the title track for the record on this new one and the poem has been around probably since 2012.

I wrote it in a really kind of horrible moment, a violent moment, an extreme moment. But you captured it and so you have that feeling, you have that little kind of capsule of that moment kind of ready, locked and loaded, whenever you want to pull it out, where ever you want to put it.

And if it’s good, it really does, you can read it five or six years later and be like okay I still feel that. I still feel that from where it came from.”

In the same chat, McCracken also hinted that The Used may be opening for My Chemical Romance later this year:

“When we first met My Chemical Romance, they were my favorite band. I brought them out all over the world. There’s a reason why they blew up and they’re one of the biggest bands of all time. They’re amazing. Been talking to Gerard and it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see The Used on that tour.”

He continued:

“I’m not saying… I’m joking. Come on, you know me, I’m a Kidder.”

The singer also made similar comments during a recent live show:
