Powerwolf Premiere New Song “Sainted By The Storm”

Powerwolf have premiered a new song titled “Sainted By The Storm.” The single is available digitally and on CD along with orchestral and instrumental versions of the track. The band commented:

“We would like to thank you all for your fantastic support with the release of a brand new song! It’s been less than a year since we released our new album, ‘Call Of The Wild’, and it’s rather unusual for us to follow up so soon, but we miss you all and were overwhelmed by your comments and feedback not only on the last album but also on our streaming event ‘The Monumental Mass’, despite the lack of live shows and the opportunity to see each other again and celebrate a furious metal mass together! Enjoy ‘Sainted By The Storm’. This one is for you, wolves!”

Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz Guests On New Version Of Powerwolf’s “Demons Are A Girl’s Best Friend”

Powerwolf have teamed up with Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz for a new version of their song “Demons Are A Girl’s Best Friend.” The updated take on the track will be featured on a bonus album, titled “Missa Cantorem,” which will be included with select editions of the band’s new album “Call Of The Wild“ (out July 16).

White-Gluz commented:

“I enjoyed putting a woman’s spin on ‘Demons Are A Girl’s Best Friend‘; altering the lyrics to fit a strong message of female empowerment and delivering them with a mighty roar! Thanks to Powerwolf for being open to having their song reconstructed like this!”

Powerwolf’s Christian “Falk Maria Schlegel” Jost added:

“It was a pleasure to work and perform together with Alissa for the very first time on our joint video shoot for ‘Demons Are A Girl’s Best Friend‘. Immediately, there was a great energetic atmosphere on set! Alissa is such a wonderful artist and interacting with her during this shoot as well as re-interpreting this video together was an amazing experience.”

Powerwolf Premiere “Beast Of Gévaudan” Video

Powerwolf have premiered a new video for their new song “Beast Of Gévaudan.” This track is from the band’s new album “Call Of The Wild,” which will be released on July 9.

Matthew Greywolf said the following about the song:

“We are more than proud to present ‘Beast Of Gévaudan’, the first song off our upcoming album, ‘Call Of The Wild’. The story behind the song couldn’t fit better into the world of Powerwolf: It’s about a mysterious beast that killed countless people in the south of France at the end of the 18th century. The beast was never caught and there have always been many legends surrounding the events, up to the interpretation of the clergy, who saw the beast as ‘God’s punishment’ or even as a ‘savior of mankind from the worldly and sinful existence.'”

He also added the following about the album:

“With ‘Call Of The Wild’, we are opening a new, exciting chapter in the history of Powerwolf. The album sounds unmistakably like Powerwolf and is so much more at the same time: Besides new territory like the Celtic instrumentation in ‘Blood For Blood (Faoladh)’ or the ballad like ‘Alive Or Undead’, we have raised all our trademarks to a new level. Until now, we never sounded so powerful and wild – in the truest sense of the word. We can’t wait to finally share this beast of an album with you all!”

02. “Beast Of Gévaudan”
