We Came As Romans Postpone “To Plant A Seed” 10th Anniversary Tour Once Again, Begin Recording New Album

We Came As Romans have postponed their “To Plant A Seed” 10th anniversary tour with The Devil Wears Prada, Gideon, and Dayseeker once again due to the coronavirus pandemic. Despite this, there is some good news as the band have also started the recording process for their new album.

We Came As Romans said the following:

“We are incredibly bummed to announce that due to the current climate surrounding Covid-19, the TPAS tour we had planned for this spring will once again be moved to a later time frame. We will hold off on announcing new dates until there is more certainty the shows will play out. You can get refunds for your tickets at point of purchase.

This announcement isn’t all bad news though! We’ve officially entered the studio and started recording our sixth full length record! And while we work on this record to bring you new music this summer, we’re working on something special to make up for our tour postponement. So stay tuned, because we’ll have more great news to announce soon ;)”

Hurtwave (Dayseeker) Premiere New Song “Sever”

Hurtwave, the new project featuring Dayseeker vocalist Rory Rodriguez and drummer Mike Karle, have premiered a new song titled “Sever.” This track will be featured on their upcoming EP “Night Therapy I,” which is being released one piece at a time. Rodriguez commented:

“‘Sever‘ is the first song Mike and I ever wrote together for this project and we feel it will set the tone for our particular sound as a group. It tells the story of a person you’ve been wanting to be with romantically who consistently strings you along and is never willing to commit or to cut ties entirely, either.”

We Came As Romans have postponed their “To Plant A Seed” 10th anniversary tour with The Devil Wears Prada, Gideon, and Dayseeker due to the coronavirus pandemic. The band posted the below statement:

Police Find Dayseeker’s Stolen Van

As previously reported, Dayseeker’s van, trailer, and gear were stolen late last year while the band were in Fullerton, CA. However, the trailer was eventually recovered and police have since found the van as well. Unfortunately, the gear was never recovered. Despite this, the band think they raised enough money on GoFundMe to cover the rest.

Dayseeker’s van, trailer, and gear were stolen while the band were in Fullerton, CA. The band commented:

“Our van and trailer were stolen last night in Fullerton, CA. It had most of our equipment (list attached) and we are really hurting at the moment. A police report has been filed but if you see a Black Ford Transit w/ a White Trailer, please notify us and the police. Van license plate: 8DYW715 Please keep an eye out for this kit and any of the other gear on Craigslist, at pawnshops, etc. If you have any information, reach out to us immediately. We don’t know how this is going to turn out but sharing this really helps ♥️ thanks for your love and support.”

We Came As Romans Announce “To Plant A Seed” 10th Anniversary Tour

We Came As Romans will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of “To Plant A Seed” by performing it in full on a spring North American tour. The Devil Wears Prada, Gideon, and Dayseeker will serve as support.

We Came As Romans guitarist Joshua Moore commented:

“We’re really excited to announce the 10-year anniversary tour for our first record ‘To Plant A Seed‘. Being able to watch our fans connect with us through music over the last decade has been an amazing privilege, and it all started with ‘To Plant A Seed‘. Way back in 2009 when we recorded it, we had no idea where it would take us or what we were really even doing, and it’s awesome to see that we can play these songs still, and feel that connection with you.

But over the course of 10 years, we’ve released four other albums and we’re even working on a fifth! With that being said, we are going to be throwing these songs into the vault of old WCAR — and retiring them from all future setlists after this tour. So make sure you grab your tickets and come hear these songs one last time live.”

Wage War Premiere “Who I Am” Video, Reveal Details For New Album “Pressure”

Wage War have premiered a new video for their new song “Who I Am.” This track is from the band’s new album “Pressure,” which will be released on August 30.

The group commented:

“We’ve spent countless hours, days, and months over the first half of this year perfecting every detail of this album, and it’s been so hard to keep under wraps. We are glad it’s finally here. We pushed every boundary we could think of to make this record. Picking songs to release ahead of an album is always a difficult task but we chose ‘Who I Am‘ to be the frontrunner. It’s ‘Wage War on 11.’ Lyrically, the song dives into the reality of the people who inevitably look down on you or talk down to the things you invest yourself in or who you try to be. We sometimes forget that we’re all human beings and we all feel and hurt.”

They also added:

“Anytime you go into make a record, there’s pressure. What you do in that studio, with those people, affects the next however many years of your career, and if you play your cards right, it can change your life. It really felt like a make or break situation. The ‘Pressure’ to make the perfect Wage War album, one that harvests what people have come to love about our band yet still grow and explore new territory and push ourselves harder than ever before.

However, that’s not the only pressure this album talks about. There are songs on the album that deal with mental health, and the pressure to act ‘ok’ even when things aren’t. There are songs on the album that speak of not succumbing to pressure and being just another face in the crowd, but more so making a change in yourself and the world around you. Being in a band, making music, playing shows in one way or another all comes with a ‘Pressure,’ and how you deal with it is what determines who you are. This record is our response.”

“Pressure” Track Listing:

01. “Who I Am”
02. “Prison”
03. “Grave”
04. “Ghost”
