Hellfest organizers commented:

“Hellbangers,

What can we say except that we are proud (and excited) to finally unveil the long-awaited line up of our anniversary edition! Keeping such a line up as a secret for several weeks has been no easy task, especially in the last few days…

It’s been more than 16 months since our work rhythm was turned upside down by the arrival of this virus, since the live music industry was extinguished. Despite this, our confidence has never been affected and we have kept working with a positive mindset.

The frustration of two years without a festival has led us to dream even bigger about our reunion! In 2022, we are offering a new and unique format spread over 10 days! Never done before, this formula will, without a doubt, remain in the history of so-called “extreme” music! Twice as historic, because this formula is meant to exist only in 2022 and will not happen again in the years to come.

After a first weekend from 17 to 19th June 2022, we double the fun with an additional weekend from 23rd to 26th June! A real marathon that will see no less than 350 artists on 6 stages!

As usual, the festival does not deviate from its principles: you will see artists capable of performing in stadiums, with artists who are usually playing in smaller venues, and for some even in pub caves. Punk, Heavy, Black, Hardcore, Death, Stoner, Pagan, Power, we have done our best to put together what we believe to be the “edition of the century”.

No need to list the program in detail as you are not, and for the second year, headbanging at the festival right now. You can find out all this by yourself, at home or with your friends, enjoying our virtual edition “Hellfest From Home“! (More information over here : fromhome.hellfest.fr)

This exceptional edition is also an opportunity for us to thank the pass holders who have been waiting for more than 2 years. Your loyalty and trust have kept us going and we do not have enough words to thank you. It seemed fair to us that you should access the ticket sale 24 hours before the public sale in order for you to obtain your ticket for sure.

We are aware that some of you, for professional, family or simply financial reasons, will not be able to attend this XXL edition. By going through (and only through!) our partner TICKETSWAP (please stop Viagogo and others…), you will be able to resell your pass for the weekend you are the least interested in, and thus make one more happy fan!

For all the others who will have the chance to live these 10 days of anthology with us, we promise that you will remember our reunion! As a bonus, we might even make you a nice “FINISHER” t-shirt so that this moment will remain engraved forever in your memories. Once in a lifetime celebration!

Last but not least, we could not finish without thanking all those who have supported us during these last months. Volunteers, intermittents, sponsors, service providers, media partners, people from Clisson, we are all eager to see you again and to live with you this future adventure, which promises to be historic!

Stay Strong. Stay Safe.

Eluveitie commented:

“Dear fellow metalheads,

You all have probably already suspected it – and it is with a heavy and bleeding heart that we have to confirm your apprehension:

Due to the current covid-19 pandemic we are now forced to cancel our upcoming North American tour.

Believe us, we are as much bummed as you are. Even more since we don’t know how long this crazy situation is going to last.

The only thing we can sincerely promise you is that we won’t give up, we won’t leave you hanging and that we will get a new North American tour up as soon as it will be possible again! And of course we’ll keep you posted on this!

And until that day we’ll do our very best to still give you as much as we can through the distance! If you’re not doing it already, please check our official social media channels as well as those of our particular band members – you’ll find a lot of worth watching stuff!

Eluveitie Premiere New Lyric Video For “Worship” Feat. Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe

Eluveitie have premiered a lyric video for their song “Worship.” This track features Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe and it appears on the band’s latest album “Ategnatos.”

The group commented:

“Here you go with our second lyric video for a song from our brand new album ATEGNATOS! It’s the second part of the two-song cycle of THE SLUMBER and WORSHIP!

A radical song with drastic lyrics on a severe topic: The ancient Celtic Sesroneos myth, in which our modern societies can and probably should reflect themselves as much as the people in ancient times could!

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and find some food for thought in it!

Special thanks to Randy Blythe of Lamb of God for an excellent performance!”

Eluveitie & Korpiklaani Announce Co-Headlining North American Tour

Eluveitie and Korpiklaani have announced a co-headlining North American tour. Gone In April will serve as support.

Eluveitie’s Chrigel Glanzmann commented:

“Hard to find words here and to express our excitement. First of all it’s been incredibly long this tour is overdue! We cannot wait to finally come back to North America! Secondly, we have our brand new album Ategnatos under our belts, plus we’ve finally released the much-anticipated second part of our purely acoustic Evocation cycle since we’ve been to North America the last time. And so we cannot wait to share all the new songs with you! And last but not least it feels simply great to once again tour with our very dear friends and fellow road warriors of Korpiklaani! Long story short: We’re super excited and very much looking forward to soon tour in the USA and Canada again! See you all soon!”

Korpiklaani’s Jonne Järvelä added:

“We are very much looking forward to the second North American leg of our Kulkija world tour. This time it will be a co-headlining tour with the Switzerland’s own Eluveitie. First half of the North American tour at the end of the last year was a great success, so it is only natural that we will return there this soon. This will be our seventh North American tour, and we’ve played over 1,000 shows around the world since 2003. Yet this still feels like we’ve only begun and have just now got the wheels properly rolling. However, before North America we still have a tour in Australia and New Zealand in May and of course a busy summer raising our pints around the various festivals in Europe.”

Eluveitie Premiere “Ambiramus” Music Video

Eluveitie have premiered a new video for their new song “Ambiramus.” This track is from the band’s new album “Ategnatos,” which will be released on April 5.

Chrigel Glanzmann commented:

“It’s definitely one of the most exceptional songs from our discography! ‘Ambiramus’ comes in quite groovy and with a light-hearted, yet racing folk reel in the chorus and a very accessible overall appearance; easily the brightest song we’ve ever written. Yet at the same time it goes to where the actual magic of traditional Celtic folk music exists: a place where cheerfulness and melancholy, hardship and hope, glee and deep mysticism meet to become one! And this deep, wistful yet hopefull mysticism is also found in the song’s lyrics, which will take you to the very core of the Celtic mythology the album contemplates. ‘Ambiramus’ (gaulish for “Voyage”) is based on a late Celtic literary tradition – the so-called Immrama tales.

‘Ambiramus’ is the last song we wrote for the album and it’s probably the result of and a testimony to the very inspiring and creative atmosphere, in which we created Ategnatos! The song basically ‘fell into place’ after Alain finished the drum tracking, and it was written and arranged in just a few hours. We hope you enjoy it!”
