Hellfest organizers commented:

“Hellbangers,

What can we say except that we are proud (and excited) to finally unveil the long-awaited line up of our anniversary edition! Keeping such a line up as a secret for several weeks has been no easy task, especially in the last few days…

It’s been more than 16 months since our work rhythm was turned upside down by the arrival of this virus, since the live music industry was extinguished. Despite this, our confidence has never been affected and we have kept working with a positive mindset.

The frustration of two years without a festival has led us to dream even bigger about our reunion! In 2022, we are offering a new and unique format spread over 10 days! Never done before, this formula will, without a doubt, remain in the history of so-called “extreme” music! Twice as historic, because this formula is meant to exist only in 2022 and will not happen again in the years to come.

After a first weekend from 17 to 19th June 2022, we double the fun with an additional weekend from 23rd to 26th June! A real marathon that will see no less than 350 artists on 6 stages!

As usual, the festival does not deviate from its principles: you will see artists capable of performing in stadiums, with artists who are usually playing in smaller venues, and for some even in pub caves. Punk, Heavy, Black, Hardcore, Death, Stoner, Pagan, Power, we have done our best to put together what we believe to be the “edition of the century”.

No need to list the program in detail as you are not, and for the second year, headbanging at the festival right now. You can find out all this by yourself, at home or with your friends, enjoying our virtual edition “Hellfest From Home“! (More information over here : fromhome.hellfest.fr)

This exceptional edition is also an opportunity for us to thank the pass holders who have been waiting for more than 2 years. Your loyalty and trust have kept us going and we do not have enough words to thank you. It seemed fair to us that you should access the ticket sale 24 hours before the public sale in order for you to obtain your ticket for sure.

We are aware that some of you, for professional, family or simply financial reasons, will not be able to attend this XXL edition. By going through (and only through!) our partner TICKETSWAP (please stop Viagogo and others…), you will be able to resell your pass for the weekend you are the least interested in, and thus make one more happy fan!

For all the others who will have the chance to live these 10 days of anthology with us, we promise that you will remember our reunion! As a bonus, we might even make you a nice “FINISHER” t-shirt so that this moment will remain engraved forever in your memories. Once in a lifetime celebration!

Last but not least, we could not finish without thanking all those who have supported us during these last months. Volunteers, intermittents, sponsors, service providers, media partners, people from Clisson, we are all eager to see you again and to live with you this future adventure, which promises to be historic!

Stay Strong. Stay Safe.

Me And That Man (Behemoth) Premiere Video For New Song “Confession” Feat. Shining’s Niklas Kvarforth

Me And That Man, the blackened blues project featuring Behemoth’s Nergal, have premiered a new video for their new song “Confession.” This track features Shining’s Niklas Kvarforth and it will appear on the band’s new album “New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1,” which is set to be released on March 27. Nergal commented:

“‘Confession‘ – an ode to gunslingers and saloon singers! The ending will surprise those who aren’t aware of my other half and I hope it will put a smile on the faces of those that do; a statement, Me And That Man is limitless and capable of anything. ‘That Man’ for this one, Niklas Kvarforth. I sent Niklas a demo; my voice and lyrics and suggested he change anything he felt he should… only two words from the original demo version remain and happy to report, his version is way better! Some people compared his performance to Peter Steele… that gives me some ideas for the afterlife! Enjoy!”

Me And That Man (Behemoth) Premiere Music Video For New Song “By The River” Feat. Ihsahn

Me And That Man, the blackened blues project featuring Behemoth’s Nergal, have premiered a new video for their new song “By The River.” This track features Ihsahn and it will appear on the band’s new album “New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1,” which is set to be released on March 27.

Nergal commented:

“When the rumours first emerged of me collaborating with Rob Halford and Ihsahn, the idea sparked imaginations. I guess people would expect a Nergal and Ihsahn partnership to be extreme, but what came out was a bare bones, blues banger!

I’ve got to tell you; it wasn’t an easy sell…at first Ihsahn didn’t think there was much he could add – luckily, I knew different and I gave him a simple instruction, ‘have fun’. A week later I got the track back and I was totally blown away!

Considering the status of the man, he is humble and professional to the core. It was my pleasure to work with him and now it’s our pleasure to present to you, ‘By The River’!”

Me And That Man (Behemoth) Premiere “Męstwo” Video

Me And That Man, the blackened blues project featuring Behemoth’s Nergal, have premiered a new video for their new song “Męstwo.” This track is from the band’s new album “New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1,” which will be released on March 27. Nergal commented:

“When our drummer, Kuman first sent me the demo version of ‘Męstwo‘, I was immediately drawn to it – it’s a simple song and simply written but totally honest and genuine. It’s the only song on the record I sing on and it’s exclusively Polish. ‘Męstwo‘ translates to manhood; in this world of judgement, prejudice and struggle, the message of the song is to remain on your own course, to stay motivated and follow your own intuition – this is what manhood represents to me.”

Slipknot, Mastodon, Trivium, Etc. Members To Guest On New Me And That Man (Behemoth) Album “New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1”

Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski has revealed the details for his new Me And That Man album “New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1.” The effort, which will be released on March 27, features a number of guests including Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, Mastodon’s Brent Hinds, Trivium’s Matt Heafy, and more.

07. “Deep Down South” (feat. Nicke Anderson of Entombed / Johanna Sadonis of Lucifer)
08. “Man Of The Cross” (feat. Jerome Reuter of Rome)
09. “You Will Be Mine” (feat. Matt Heafy of Trivium)
10. “How Come?” (feat. Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour / Brent Hinds of Mastodon)
11. “Confession” (feat. Niklas Kvarforth of Shining)

Nergal commented:

“With the utmost pride and… kind of relief;,I present to you, the second ME AND THAT MAN album — ‘New Man, New Songs, Same Shit, Vol. 1′. This time ’round, I wanted to take on a different challenge and curated an album of 11 songs — each with their own character and vibe, alongside the most talented and important individuals across the whole scene. Together, we take trips to the lands of blues, folk, country and even spaghetti western. Only time will tell if we hit the mark, but I deeply believe so. I’m very proud of this piece of work and it has been a monumental task to achieve.

I would like to thank EACH one of our guests for being part of this project: Mat and Matt, Niklas and Jørgen, Corey, Alan, Addi, Brent, Vegard, Sivert, Anders, Rob, Jerome, Johanna and Nicke. I LOVE you all from here to the moon and back! Without the passion and heart you granted us, this wouldn’t have been possible!”

Two songs from the album, Run With The Devil” (feat. Jørgen Munkeby) and “Burning Churches” (feat. Mat McNerney), have already been released and a video for the third single, “Surrender” (feat. Anders Landelius and Rob Caggiano), can be found below:

Me And That Man (Behemoth) Premiere Animated Video For New Christmas Song “Burning Churches”

Me And That Man, the blackened blues project featuring Behemoth’s Nergal, have released a new Christmas song titled “Burning Churches.“ This track features Mat McNerney (Grave Pleasures, etc.) and an animated music video for it can be found below:

Nergal commented:

“If someone would have told me one day, I’d release a Xmas song, I would have burst into laughter. Hell freezes over and I present to you, ‘Burning Churches‘. This time I team up with Mat McNerney from the legendary Beastmilk, Grave Pleasures, DHG and Hexvessel. Make yourself comfortable around the Christmas tree, stoke the fire and grab yourself a drink! Hallelujah.”

A press release offered more info on the track:

“The story of ‘Burning Churches‘ goes much deeper than a first glance or listen might suggest. The new single tackles the dark, mournful tale of a young boy who was abused by a priest in his childhood. By swearing vengeance on the church and radicalizing himself, he transforms into a sort of satanic anti-hero who seems to gather more followers by the second. ‘Burning Churches‘ to the ground, one by one, he gets his revenge. Me And That Man presents the story in yet another grim snapshot with an elaborate comic strip depiction.”
