Karl Sanders (Nile) Premieres “The Sun Has Set On The Age Of Man” Music Video

Karl Sanders (Nile) has premiered a new video for his new song “The Sun Has Set On The Age Of Man.” This track is from his new album “Saurian Apocalypse,” which will be released on July 22.

Sanders commented:

“‘The Sun Has Set on the Age of Man‘ is a great choice for people’s first exposure to this album. It’s the opening track of the new Saurian record, very cinematic and an eerie mood setter. Much like the score of an opening scene of a Sci-Fi movie, the song serves as an introduction for the many twisted journeys of the album that follows. It uncannily evokes that feeling we all get right after the sun has gone down and night is upon us, conjuring an awareness of the ancient, evolutionary dread of the unknown dark and its terrors that have been imprinted on the human psyche since early prehistoric man first realized that there were things in the night that would prey upon him.

The track is also very special to me as it features two dear longtime friends of mine, original Nile drummer Pete Hammoura on percussion, and legendary guitar shredder Rusty Cooley on guest acoustic solos. Although Rusty certainly is a prolific electric guitar shredder, this track marks his debut on acoustic guitar. Thank you, Pete and Rusty!”

“The band is eagerly looking forward to bringing fans the next chapters in the Nile saga, as part of the Napalm family. We have been quietly working away, earnestly writing new songs for the next Nile album. It will be Nile’s 10th record, and we are determined to make it especially killer for the fans.”

Drummer George Kollias continued:

“Absolutely thrilled that we are a part of Napalm Records and super excited for the new album that’s coming soon, first one with our new label! I feel this is a very crucial moment in our career and I would like to thank Napalm Records for their trust in us — I know we will do some incredible music together! Nile has always kept raising the bar without compromising a single thing and this is what we will do for the next album too. GoFundMe Launched To Raise Money For Joseph Payne’s (Ex-Nile/Divine Heresy) Funeral Expenses

As previously reported, Joseph Payne (ex-Nile/Divine Heresy) has sadly passed away at the age of 35. A GoFundMe campaign has since been launched to help pay for funeral expenses.

The following statement was issued:

“Joe was just 35 when he tragically passed away January 24th, 2020. He was an incredibly loving fiance, son, brother, and friend. Joe was an amazing soul, a dreamer and story-teller, easy to love and always willing to share that humor, love and energy with everyone he encountered.

Joe‘s most profound passion was his music and sharing it relentlessly. Self-taught thanks to endless hours listening to Metallica, whether he was playing guitar or bass, Joe‘s energy and skill captured the attention of all who listened and allowed him to share himself and his stories with so many all over the world.

Above all, whether it was making soupy mac ‘n cheese, being playful with his nieces or just being gross ‘Uncle Joe Joe”, protecting his family or just being the original “Lovey”, Joe was more then anything loved back by so many more.

So we are asking for all to help us celebrate one last time the life and times of Joseph Payne and ensure he has a funeral service that everyone can be apart of and appreciate. Thank you everyone!”
