Scour‘s Derek Engemann and John Jarvis recently recruited 99 musicians, including members of Pantera, Trivium, Mastodon, Arch Enemy, Exodus, Testament, Butcher Babies, etc., to guest on a special “99 Bottles“ benefit single. That track has since been released and can be streamed below. Proceeds from it will be donated to Old Dog Haven in an effort to help out senior dogs. You can still contribute to the campaign via GoFundMe.

Jarvis commented:

“In conjunction with our friends at Old Dog Haven and The World Famous BOOZEHOUNDZ (Derek & I’s satirical overly drunk punk band) we present the “99 Bottles” out on International Dog Day!!!”

Engemann added:

“This has been an epically fun project involving the entire Metal scene, and even a few Ska bands! This project originally began back in 2013, but was brought back to life once we discovered Old Dog Haven. The “99 Bottles” has truly shown the good side of humanity during these wild times that we are in. I was amazed at all of the people who were eager to sign up for a verse. Winston, Clementine, Tasha, and The Boozehoundz thank everyone involved, and thank you to everyone who takes the time to give this insane track a spin!”

Carcass, Intronaut, Exhumed, Etc. Members Cover Guns N’ Roses, KISS, Etc. Tracks For “FU*K THE VIRUS” Album

Members of Carcass, Intronaut, Exhumed, Gatecreeper, Dysrhythmia, Imperial Triumphant, and more have all contributed to a new covers album titled “FU*K THE VIRUS.” The effort, which was put together by Leon del Muerte (ex-Exhumed, etc.), features covers of songs by Guns N’ Roses, KISS, Def Leppard, The Beatles, Blue Öyster Cult, ZZ Top, etc. and it can be found on Bandcamp.

Exhumed Premiere New Song “Rot Your Brain”

Exhumed have premiered a new song titled “Rot Your Brain.“ This track is from Exhumed and Gruesome’s new split release “Twisted Horror“ (out June 5). Matt Harvey said the following:

“We’re very psyched to unleash this new tune upon you, truly an anthem for our times. It’s a loud, nasty and decidedly unhealthy ode to all things decay-inducing. In these unusual times, we’re all experiencing, a lethal dose of Gore Fucking Metal is exactly what the doctor ordered – or at least what Dr. Philthy ordered, so that’s what you’re getting! Tune in, turn on, rot out!”

Exhumed & Gruesome Announce New Split Release

Exhumed and Gruesome have announced a new split release titled “Twisted Horror.” The effort will be available on June 5 and it will feature three songs from Exhumed, “Rot Your Brain,“ “Buried To Die,” and “Dead, Deader, Deadest,” and two songs from Gruesome, “A Mind Decayed” and “Led Into The Dark.“ You can stream Exhumed’s “A Mind Decayed“ below:

Matt Harvey commented:

“As everyone knows, it’s a weird, surreal time for us all. So many plans have been disrupted at this point, it’s academic to even get into, but one thing that we didn’t want to postpone was this new Exhumed / Gruesome split record.

With so many of us stuck at home, we’re all depending on Death Metal to keep us sane more than ever, so we figured why wait? We’ve also been working on a US tour featuring both Exhumed and Gruesome (and some awesome special guests), and as soon as it’s realistic to announce something, we will.

In the meantime, here’s new music to warp your impressionable minds, so tune in, turn on, and rot your brain!”

Pre-orders can be found HERE.
