Ho99o9 Team Up With Blink-182’s Travis Barker For “Black Power Live” Set

Ho99o9 recently played a three-song set with Blink-182’s Travis Barker as part of the virtual “Black Power Live” festival. That event helped raise money for organizations that are supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. Ho99o9’s performance featured their recently released songs, “Pray Or Prey” and “Christopher Dorner,” and a cover of Bad Brains‘ “Big Takeover.“

Ho99o9 Premiere New Songs “Christopher Dorner” & “Pray Or Prey”

Ho99o9 have released a new benefit EP. The effort comes with two tracks, “Christopher Dorner” and “Pray Or Prey,” and proceeds from it will go towards the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, Campaign Zero, Advancement Project, and the National Black Disability Coalition. You can purchase the EP HERE.

School Of Rock Students To Perform On Slipknot’s “Knotfest At Sea” Cruise

School Of Rock are teaming up with Sixthman and Modern Drummer to give students a chance to perform during Slipknot’s “Knotfest At Sea” cruise. That event will take place aboard the Norwegian Jade, which will sail from Barcelona, Spain to Naples, Italy on August 10-14. The cruise will feature performances from: Slipknot, Anthrax, Behemoth, DevilDriver, Sevendust, Skindred, Ho99o9, Higher Power, and Sleep Token. School Of Rock students will perform multiple times during the cruise and Modern Drummer are also planning to offer them prizes and exclusive features both online and in print. The initial lineup has been revealed for Slipknot’s “Knotfest At Sea” cruise. The lineup has been revealed for the 2020 Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival. The event will take place on May 21-25 in Downtown Las Vegas and it will feature the following: Madness, Circle Jerks, Cock Sparrer, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Streetlight Manifesto, Lunachicks, The Adicts, Propaghandi, Avail, Stiff Little Fingers, Rose Tattoo, Ruts DC, G.B.H., Municipal Waste, Anti-Flag, The Lawrence Arms, The Bronx, Roy Ellis, Good Riddance, The Aggrolites, HO99O9, The Epoxies, Plague Vendor, Pears, The Flatlines, Bishops Green, Bad Cop / Bad Cop, Bridge City Sinner, The Bar Stool Preachers, Bad Waitress, Clowns, The Last Gang, Single Mothers, Decent Criminal, L.A. Saudade, the musical collective featuring mastermind Chuck Doom (Crosses, Team Sleep), along with Dr. Know (Bad Brains), Gil Sharone (ex-Marilyn Manson, etc.), and more, have premiered a new song titled “Sanctuary Dub.” This track features Ho99o9‘s theOGM and Yeti Bones and it will appear on the group’s upcoming 12″ EP “Shadows & Light / Sanctuary Dub.”

Melvins, Cattle Decapitation, Ho99o9, Etc. To Open For Mr. Bungle At Upcoming Reunion Shows

Mr. Bungle have revealed that Melvins, Cattle Decapitation, Ho99o9, and more will be joining them on select dates of their February reunion tour. As previously reported, the shows will find Trevor Dunn, Mike Patton, and Trey Spruance performing “The Raging Wrath Of The Easter Bunny” in full with special guests Scott Ian (Anthrax, The Damned Things, etc.) and Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Cross).

And if we’re going to do that, why not re-unite with some of the equally legendary bands we were close with in the 90s? And why just concentrate on the past? Of the current bands that have taken some kind of inspiration from the heavier side of Mr. Bungle in doing their own thing, why not invite the select few that have managed to inspire us back?”

Ho99o9 Recruit Drummer Billy Rymer (The Dillinger Escape Plan) For Upcoming Touring

Ho99o9 have recruited drummer Billy Rymer (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Thoughtcrimes) for their upcoming touring. He will be taking over for Brandon Pertzborn, who recently joined Marilyn Manson’s band.

Ho99o9 said the following:

“Much love & respect for our road dog in chaos @brandonpertzborn – unfortunately he will not be playing the upcoming tours with us this summer. He’ll be taking in the new drummer position with Marilyn Manson on the Twins of Evil Tour alongside Rob Zombie. Our close friend @billyrymer from @dillingerescapeplan will be filling in for him this summer taking his place as we hit the road. First show w/ @ghostemane starts tonight in Tucson, AZ”

Rymer also commented:

“Some of you may know this but I’m happy to announce I’ll be filling in for my good friend @brandonpertzborn on these next two tours with @ho99o9 while he takes on duties with Marilyn Manson.
