Iron Maiden Announce “Legacy Of The Beast” In-Game Collaboration With Within Temptation

Iron Maiden have joined forces with Within Temptation for a new collaboration inside their “Legacy Of The Beast” game. A Within Temptation-inspired character called “Genesis” will appear in the mobile game as part of a dungeon event that was launched today (September 19).

A press release offered more details:

“This week-long event will take fans and players on a journey with ‘Different World‘ Eddie and Genesis, who’s now been woven into the ‘Legacy of the Beast‘ lore, as mother of the Different World.”

Within Temptation’s Sharon den Adel commented:

“If I listen to Iron Maiden, I feel like I’m on an adventure and I’m traveling through time. Eddie is my tour guide and with Eddie and Genesis teaming up.. That’s the best thing ever! Aren’t they a cute couple?! Genesis, for us, is not only a symbol of an evolution of life, but also a symbol for the wars within the mind and the wars with the outside world. We think it’s so cool that she previously was only a piece of artwork for us. She was an inspiration for several things we were doing, but now coming to life in this game: it’s a surreal thing to see.. It’s a whole new level! It turned out so awesome, so check it out!”

As civil war wages in Hell, demons and devil-kin pour out to take advantage of the chaos. The gate to Purgatory, the most exposed entrance to Hell, is overrun. Even a powerful warrior such as Knucklehead has his limits, and as the demons escape through the gate, a mysterious new individual makes his presence known, offering assistance – but at what cost?”

Five Finger Death Punch’s Zoltan Bathory commented:

“You know, it’s an unexpected and impossible dream for me & my band that my childhood heroes – in this moment in life … are being let into the beautiful landscape of the game. To me Iron Maiden was the band that got me into heavy metal and slung me onto the path of my musical journey …Iron Maiden created a metal community when we were growing up – it was a brotherhood, and with this game, they’re doing it again because they’re bringing together all of these bands, and their mascots and it has this feeling of community. To me, that was very important about what got me interested in the genre in the first place.”

Iron Maiden Announce “Legacy Of The Beast” In-Game Collaboration With Arch Enemy

Iron Maiden have teamed up with Arch Enemy for a new collaboration inside their “Legacy Of The Beast” mobile game. The band’s frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz will appear as “Queen Beast” in the game during an “Atomic Sunset” event, which will run for a week starting today (May 12).

A press release offered more details:

“The week-long event will take fans and players on a journey with Eddie and Queen Beast, a regal warrior harnessing the fierce powers of wild animals, striking fear in the hearts of all who oppose her!

As they walk through a post-war dystopian wasteland, society at large is witnessing the rise of a mutant species, a creature that is the product of the nuclear war. They are driven to destroy all of what is left of the natural world; human and animal kind.

Queen Beast and her companion GreyClaw must work together with Doomsday Eddie to gather survivors and rebuild the community while fighting mutant henchmen. Future generations’ survival lies in their hands.”

White-Gluz commented:

“We made sure to include elements of the entire band. We worked directly with the developers to make this character really special and unique that really symbolizes Arch Enemy.

I think fans playing this game will have a fun time, also seeing AE lyrics in the script, in the storyline of the game and I’m curious to see who picks up on the little easter eggs we left in there. It’s really exciting to see that AE will be fighting alongside Eddie and our character that we’ve developed Queen Beast along with her companion Greyclaw.”

She also added the following about the “Queen Beast” character:

“Strength, femininity, power and compassion! We really put a lot of detail into developing her attacks, the way she looks, the way she moves, and I think its gonna be a really fun element for people playing the game.”
