Blink-182 Guest On New Goody Grace Song “Scumbag”

Blink-182’s Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus are featured on Goody Grace’s new song “Scumbag.” You can find an official video for that track below. Grace commented:

“Blink-182 is the reason I started playing guitar when I was a kid. Their music helped me through my entire childhood and teenage years, and I couldn’t be more honored to have them on a song of mine. Travis Barker reached out to me last fall to open for Blink in Las Vegas, and we’ve become great friends since then. I hope ‘Scumbag’ can be the anthem for people’s lives such as Blink’s entire discography is for me.”

Tom DeLonge On The Possibility Of Returning To Blink-182: “I Will Play With Blink Again”

During a new interview with 91X San Diego, Tom DeLonge expressed interest in returning to Blink-182. He said he still keeps in touch with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker and that he “will play with [the band] again.” However, he added that they are still “discussing what makes sense and when.”

DeLonge said the following about his potential return:

“It hit the press last week, I think that, yes everybody, I will play with Blink again. That’s the whole plan. I talk to Travis all the time, and I talked to Mark just the other day and we’re always discussing what makes sense and when.”

“There’s creative differences in what I do, and what my brothers in Blink do. We like different things, and we like different music, but we’re still good friends and we still support each other.”

This news comes after DeLonge recently told Kerrang! that he was planning to return to Blink-182 “in the future”:

“I get it – trust me, I love Blink and it’s given me everything in my life. And, you know, I plan on doing it in the future. But right now there’s just no way – I have way too much going on because Angels & Airwaves is a part of To The Stars, and that’s why it works.”

He continued:

“When I left blink the first time, I dealt with a lot of losing my identity and people being angry with me. I had to rebuild who I am and what I want to do with my life, and the world didn’t support it, really. I understand why, but then over time, they started to understand who I am and why I need to do the things I do.”

Jason Aalon Butler commented:

“This project started as an effort to affect change. Change in our communities as well as the industry and art which we operate within.

Opening the floor to like minds and artists. Subversion is in the project’s DNA. So is hip hop. So is punk. So is ART. Which is why we are so proud to announce the visual component to the “MADE AN AMERICA” REMIX FT. TRAVIS BARKER & VIC MENSA.

Two artists tastefully combining the essence of rock and hip hop music; two realms that were created to challenge convention which is what we intend on doing in honor of these cultures.”

Blink-182 Cancel Fall Tour

Blink-182 have been forced to cancel their fall tour. The cancellation comes as a result of Travis Barker being unable to get medical clearance to perform due to the blood clots in his arms.

The band issued the following statement:

“It is with a heavy heart to report that blink must cancel its fall mini-tour which was set to kick off September 8th on their way to headline Riot Fest in Chicago. Medical issues have sidelined Travis per doctors’ orders. Trav’s medical team anticipated that he would be well enough by fall to tour but after recent checkups, they were not able to clear him in time for the scheduled run of dates.

From Travis: “The past few months have just sucked as I have been sidelined just waiting for my doctors to clear me so I could get back on the road and perform with my band. Unfortunately, the risks associated with drumming are still too great. I am doing everything I need to do so I can get back on the road as soon as possible. I want to thank my fans, family, friends, and bandmates for all the love and support.”

Tickets for the canceled headline shows can be refunded at point of purchase.

Unfortunately, we will also be canceling The Surf Ranch Pros, World Surf League kicking off Saturday, September 8th. Fortunately, Southern California punk rock icons Social Distortion will take over as the show’s headliners.

With us now having to miss one of our favorite festivals, our friends in Weezer, Run the Jewels, and Taking Back Sunday have now come on board as performers. We plan to be back headlining Riot Fest in 2019 in celebration of the Festival’s 15th anniversary.

Thank you for your continued support and check blink182.com for updates.”
