Machine Head’s Robb Flynn To Perform At Third Annual Chris Cornell Tribute Show In San Francisco, CA

Machine Head’s Robb Flynn has announced that he will be performing with Rusty Chains at the third annual Chris Cornell tribute show in San Francisco, CA. The event will take place at the Verdi Club on July 19 and it will find Rusty Chains performing Soundgarden’s “Badmotorfinger” in full, as well as other tracks from Temple Of The Dog and Audioslave.

Last night (January 16), numerous artists took the stage at The Forum in Inglewood, CA to pay tribute to the late Chris Cornell. That show was called “I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell” and it featured Cornell’s Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple Of The Dog bandmates, as well as Metallica, Foo Fighters, Melvins, Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), Fiona Apple, Brandi Carlile, Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age), Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine (Maroon 5), Ziggy Marley, Miguel, Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless), Chris Stapleton, Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Ryan Adams, and more. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the event with special guests and footage from it can be found below, along with the setlist. Proceeds went towards the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.

Mike Patton (Faith No More, Dead Cross, etc.) has announced that he will no longer be taking part in tonight’s (January 16) Chris Cornell tribute concert. That show, which is being called “I Am The Highway: A Tribute To Chris Cornell,” will be held at The Forum in Inglewood, CA and it will feature members of Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple Of The Dog, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Maroon 5, Queens Of The Stone Age, and more. Patton said the following:

“Unfortunately Im not going to be able to make the Chris Cornell tribute concert Wednesday night. Best wishes to my friends Ben, Kim and Matt and to Chris‘s family. It is going to be quite an evening. I also want to thank the Los Angeles Rams for the invitation to sing the national anthem last weekend. A bad week to not be feeling good.”

Jimmy Kimmel will host the event along with special guests. Proceeds will go towards the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation. In other news, Patton was also scheduled to sing the U.S. national anthem at today’s (January 12) Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys NFL game at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA, but he cancelled after he “woke up feeling horrible.”

Tickets will go on sale November 16 at 10am PST via Ticketmaster. Proceeds will go towards the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
