King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Premiere New Song “The Dripping Tap”

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have premiered a new song titled “The Dripping Tap.” This track will appear on the band’s upcoming album “Omnium Gatherum.” Stu Mackenzie said the following about that effort:

“This recording session felt significant. Significant because it was the first time all six Gizzards had gotten together after an extraordinarily long time in lockdown. Significant because it produced the longest studio recording we’ve ever released. Significant because (I think) it’s going to change the way we write and record music – at least for a while… A turning point. A touchstone. I think we’re entering into our ‘jammy period’. It feels good.”

The full lineup has been revealed for the 2022 Boston Calling festival. The event will take place in Allston, MA on May 27-29 and it will feature the following:

May 27: Foo Fighters, Rüfüs Du Sol, HAIM, Avril Lavigne, Cheap Trick, Oliver Tree, The Struts, Paris Jackson, The Backseat Lovers, Grandson, Paris Texas, Mob Rich, Pom Pom Squad, Born Without Bones, Avenue, Miranda Rae, and The Chelsea Curve.

May 28: The Strokes, Run The Jewels, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Black Pumas, EARTHGANG, Orville Peck, KennyHoopla, Sudan Archives, Celisse, Hinds, Frances Forever, Charlotte Sands, Julie Rhodes, Van Buren Records, Ali McGuirk, Coral Moons, and Dutch Tulips.

May 29: Metallica, Weezer, Glass Animals, Modest Mouse, Goose, Ripe, Japanese Breakfast, Cults, Peach Tree Rascals, Horsegirl, Djo, Cam Meekins, Oompa, Cliff Notez, Crooked Coast, Aaron and the Lord, and Paper Tigers.

Rage Against The Machine will no longer be performing at this year’s Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival. Despite this, the event, which is scheduled to take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA on April 15-17 and April 22-24, will still feature several other rock/metal acts including: Turnstile, Code Orange, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, IDLES, The HU, PUP, and Måneskin.
