The lineup has been revealed for the 2022 Beale Street Music Festival. May 28: The Strokes, Run The Jewels, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Black Pumas, EARTHGANG, Orville Peck, KennyHoopla, Sudan Archives, Celisse, Hinds, Frances Forever, Charlotte Sands, Julie Rhodes, Van Buren Records, Ali McGuirk, Coral Moons, and Dutch Tulips.

Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees), Nate Mendel (Foo Fighters), Jefferson Angell (Walking Papers), Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse) and more recently covered “Highwayman” for KEXP’s 2020 SMooCH benefit for the Seattle Children’s Hospital. You can check that out in the below video at the 53:40 mark. The track was written by Jimmy Webb in 1977, before being covered by Glen Campbell in 1979 and The Highwaymen in 1985. The latter was a supergroup featuring Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson.
