Dangerous Hippies (Hinder) Premiere New Song “1982”

Dangerous Hippies, the band featuring Hinder drummer Cody Hanson and frontman Marshal Dutton, have premiered a new song titled “1982.” Hanson told Loudwire the following about the track:

“‘1982’ is a fun, upbeat track about a girl that was born in 1982. When I think about pop culture from the ’80s, which I love, I remember everything being really fun and vibrant. The song alludes to the fact that no matter how many great things happened that year, she is what made really made the year 1982 special.”

Hinder Members Launch New Project Dangerous Hippies

Hinder drummer Cody Hanson and frontman Marshal Dutton have launched a new project called Dangerous Hippies. You can find an official video for their debut single “Whoa” below:

According to the duo, the project kind of started in 2011 when they were approached about writing a song for a commercial that was similar to The Black Keys. Hansen said the following:

“We were very inspired and were having a blast, so we decided to write more in the same style. It seemed to come naturally and since it had a more raw feel, we could spend more time on writing and less time polishing in the studio.”

“Dangerous Hippies was never intended to be a replacement for Hinder. Hinder will continue to tour. However, Marshal and I feel that we have grown as songwriters and producers. We don’t want to be stuck in the box of the ‘active rock’ genre forever. We feel that it’s time to get some of the music that we’ve been working on for so many years out to the world.”

“We don’t want this to be just another side project that releases a song/album and then disappears. We plan on taking the time to build this the right way and to build the fan base that will appreciate this new style of music.”

Hinder Cover The Eagles’ “Life In The Fast Lane”

Hinder are streaming their cover of the Eagles’ “Life In The Fast Lane.” Cody Hanson told Loudwire the following:

“Putting our own stamp on a song that we’re such big fans of, has been an awesome experience. We’re all huge fans of the Eagles. It was both rewarding and challenging to make the song our own, while still maintaining the integrity of the original version. Needless to say, we’ve had a lot of fun with this track.”
