SpiritWorld Premiere “Relic Of Damnation” Music Video

SpiritWorld have premiered a new video for their new song “Relic Of Damnation.” This track is from their new album “Deathwestern,” which will be released on November 25.

Stu Folsom commented:

“‘Relic Of Damnation‘ has been my favorite riff on the record but was the biggest mfer to finish. I knew I had a classic that brings back that Metallica, Slayer vibe I love so much but I never liked the vocals and tried out three or four different rewrites after the demo.

The very last night we worked on it, Theresa, Matt and I were fried and about to call it a night when I repurposed a verse from a country song I was writing and put it over the first verse. The vocals were done in one take and is my favorite vocal delivery on the album. I also love the vocals that trade off at the end between Justin Fornof and I. Relic is a banger and has been a staple of our live set since our first show! I’m so excited for people to finally have the studio recording!

The video is the finale of our DeathWestern trilogy with director Todd Hailstone. Being able to work with my longtime friend, going all the way back to being highschool punk rockers; has been incredible. He took my vision of gun smoke, gore and heavy metal and worked up three incredible videos. It was probably a little ambitious to do a film trilogy for that spreads across two albums, but I think the performances Todd got from Derek and Voki to finish this bad boy off were amazing!”

SpiritWorld Premiere “Deathwestern” Music Video

SpiritWorld have premiered an age-restricted music video for the title track of their new album “Deathwestern.” That effort will be released on November 25.

Stu Folsom commented:

“Finally. I spent the last two years of my life working on this album in my free time. The video for ‘Deathwestern‘ is premiering live in 10 minutes on Century Media’s YouTube. New ALBUM preorder is live NOW on our webstore and it is insane.

I need to say thanks to my band and crew. Thank you to Sam for capturing the magic. Thank you to Todd for bringing the gore and the gun-smoke. Thanks to James, Piper and Kat for helping me with the artwork. Thank you to the teams at AGI, Century Media, 5B, Panda, Cosa Nostra and Check Your Head.

Thanks most of all to Jen for putting up with a complete psychopath hellbent on making a record that could stand up to “Arise”, letting me turn our garage and office into a merch store and gear locker, taking up all the curb parking with not one but TWO hoopty tour vans aaaaand a trailer and then STILL jumping on planes and smelly van tours with us. Without your love and support, this would not be possible or worth it.

I’m still shocked this became the title track considering the song is about a train hopping serial killer, murdering men across the dust bowl before eventually finding his faith and becoming The Heretic Butcher. It still cracks me up that of all the songs, my boy Mike Gitter loves this one the most and called me and said, “Look Stu, I’m a lyric guy. THIS is a single!” Amazing.

THANK YOU for all the support everybody. There is something special happening with this band and I can’t tell you how much all the love means to us. I cannot wait for you to hear this whole gd record.”

He also added:

“I started writing our new album right when I finished ‘Pagan Rhythms‘. At that point, I had been playing guitar everyday for about a year and it was no joke the highlight of my days. Just banger riff after banger riff jumping out of the Viper Blood Tele.

It took six months to get four songs together that I thought could stand up to Pagan. Then I knew I had another full length. This was the 4th song I wrote and it became the title track and our partner in crime and A&R extraordinaire Mike Gitter‘s favorite. When we finished tracking, I vividly remember getting chills.

The intro whammys are 100% intentional White Zombie worship. ‘La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Vol. 1‘ was SUCH an important record for me. From samples, to groove, to incorporating horror into metal… definitely one of the most influential albums of my youth. I’m following that blueprint still. Always have.”

SpiritWorld Premiere New Song “Moonlit Torture” Featuring Integrity’s Dwid Hellion

SpiritWorld have premiered a new song titled “Moonlit Torture.” This track features Integrity’s Dwid Hellion and an official video for it can be found below:

Hellion said the following:

“Keep your eye on SpiritWorld because the apocalypse is about to be fully unleashed! I feel honored to have been invited up to testify on their pulverizing new sermon, ‘Moonlit Torture‘. Unleash the fiend within!”

SpiritWorld’s Stu Folsom commented as well:

“‘Moonlit Torture‘ was produced by Sam Pura (The Story So Far, Basement) with Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta, Residente) on drums and features guest vocals from Dwid Hellion (Integrity, Psywarfare). Integrity‘s ‘Humanity is the Devil‘ was the first record I ever bought from a hardcore band when it came out. To say that album shaped my life and taste in extreme music would be an understatement! Hearing Dwid howl over top of my riffs is possibly the coolest shit ever!”

He also added:

“Yooooo our latest single ‘Moonlit Torture‘ Featuring Dwid Hellion of INTEGRITY is out now!!!!

Crazy story. Many moons ago, my older brother Nick and my twin brother Beez and I went to a record store to buy Rage Against the Machine‘s “Evil Empire” the day it came out. The record store had these listening stations set up with headphones and a set of selector buttons to switch between CDs. I saw the Pushead cover artwork to Integrity‘s “Humanity is the Devil“, hit play, heard Vocal Test for the first time and bought that motherfucker immediately! Hands down the most aggressive, insane shit I had ever heard. 🤯

At the time I had hand me down cassette copies of 7 Seconds “The Crew“, Black Flag, Misfits, etc, etc. But I had yet to realize that Hardcore Punk was it’s own thing.

Turns out that was the first album, the gateway drug if you will, from a real hardcore band I ever bought with my own money. I’m sitting in the Czech Republic as I’m typing this, my band is playing Brutal Assault today with At The Gates, Clutch, etc. And we got Dwid singing on our new song…

Sometimes this little underground thing is straight up, unfuckwithable magic! Jam that shit and let me know what you think. Dwid comes in Haaaaaard at like 3:26ish.

Thank you to Dwid, Mike Gitter, my dude Thomas Pridgen for beatin ‘the fuck out of the drums, Sam Pura and my Panda Studios fam for producing, mixing, engineering and Alberto for the excellent mastering job…”

SpiritWorld Premiere “Unholy Passages” Music Video

SpiritWorld have premiered a new video for their song “Unholy Passages.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Pagan Rhythms.“ Stu Folsom commented:

“‘Unholy Passages‘ is the JAM! If I could pick one song off of ‘Pagan Rhythms‘ to show people, this is it. 270 BPM of hella nasty riff vomit!!! Just when you think, ‘Okay, this song fucks, I’m diggin’ it…,’ it drops another banger riff on you. It’s even got the Hellraiser, ‘Do I look like I care what God thinks?’ breakdown sprinkled with some field recordings of a monsoon season thunderstorm I recorded on my cell phone to top it off! When I made the visualizer for it, everything was still on lockdown, so a real video was out of the question. I knew I needed something striking to compliment the song, so I pivoted down the rabbit hole of archival footage sourcing old rodeo footage, go-go dancers, and occult rituals. Enjoy!”
