Members of each band commented:

Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine:

“Can you hear that sound of armies on the march – of destruction on the horizon? That’s this tour, coming for you. We cannot wait to return to the stage and I promise you you do NOT want to miss these shows. You’re not going to know what hit you!”

Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe:

“It’s been far too long since we got together to do our thing— by ‘we’ I mean bands, road crew, bus drivers, truck drivers, local venue staff, vendors, audience, parking lot attendants, the freaking janitors- the whole damn enchilada. ALL OF US. TOGETHER. Everyone has been waiting, but the time has come to put the puzzle back together— I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been more ready to hit the road with Lamb Of God. See y’all in a few months with Megadeth, Trivium, & In Flames. Over a year with no live music? These shows are gonna be INSANE…”

Trivium’s Matt Heafy:

“The Metal Tour of the year couldn’t be stopped by anything. It is still happening, and we can’t wait to bring back shows with this monumental tour. We’re ready. Are you?”

In Flames’ Anders Fridén:

“I can’t really describe how good it feels to be really talking about going on tour, let alone The Metal Tour of the Year. This setup is long overdue and we can’t wait to finally make it happen.”

Slaves On Dope, Mastodon, Limp Bizkit, 311, Filter, Etc. Members Cover Jane’s Addiction’s “Mountain Song”

The Kings Of Quarantine, the project featuring Slaves On Dope‘s Jason Rockman and Kevin Jardine and Mastodon‘s Bill Kelliher, have released a cover of Jane’s Addiction‘s “Mountain Song.” The track features Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit), Aaron “P-Nut” Wills (311), Richard Patrick (Filter), Louise Post (Veruca Salt), Bert McCracken (The Used), and Tanner Wayne (In Flames) and a video for it can be found below. All of the proceeds from the cover will go towards Roadie Relief. Rockman commented:

“We hope to not only put a smile on people’s faces, but also help the touring staff that have been severely affected by the pandemic.”

In Flames Premiere “Stay With Me” Music Video

In Flames have premiered a new video for their song “Stay With Me.” This track is from the band’s latest album “I, The Mask.” With this news, the group have also launched a #UnitedWeWillMosh campaign in an effort to help save the live entertainment industry amid the coronavirus pandemic. Fans can help the cause by donating to the following organizations: Save Our Stages (US), Let The Music Play (UK), Save Live Events Now (US), Stagehand (UK) and Red Alert (DE). Vicky Psarakis (The Agonist) Covers In Flames’ “Only For The Weak”

Vicky Psarakis (The Agonist) has premiered a video for her cover of In Flames’ “Only For The Weak.“ She said the following about that:

“Aaaand it’s out! 😁 Check out my cover of “Only For The Weak” by In Flames! I first heard this song over half of my life ago… “Clayman” was one of the albums that I blasted on repeat as a teenager and a big reason for me getting into death metal! Really happy to have worked with Quentin Cornet on this one. He did an excellent job on recording and mixing the entire track! This is just the beginning of much more to come!”

In Flames Premiere Video For Re-Recorded Version Of “Only For The Weak”

In Flames have premiered a new video for their re-recorded version “Only For The Weak.” This track was previously released as part of the band’s “Clayman 2020” EP. It is also available on the newly released 20th anniversary deluxe edition of “Clayman.”

Mastodon, Stone Sour, Royal Tusk, Etc. Members Share Quarantine Cover Of Filter’s “Hey Man Nice Shot”

Daniel Carriere (Royal Tusk), Bill Kelliher (Mastodon), Ryan “Fluff” Bruce (Dragged Under), Johny Chow (Stone Sour), and Tanner Wayne (In Flames) have teamed up for a quarantine cover of Filter’s “Hey Man Nice Shot.” You can check that out below:

Carriere told Heavy Consequence the following:

“I first heard ‘Hey Man Nice Shot” on a compilation cassette I bought in grade 7 called Absolute 90s. Filter was alongside The Lemonheads, Dinosaur Jr, and Sonic Youth, to name a few — it was a great album all around, but ‘HMNS’ stuck out to me. There was something honest, gritty, and dirty about that song, and I couldn’t get enough.”

“All the tracks from ‘Short Bus‘, which this song came from, are awesome, but this one has stood the test of time. I would argue that, in a way, the song hits even harder against the backdrop of music today. They are a wildly underrated band, and I jumped at the chance to pay homage to them with this cover! Also, the Budd Dwyer story which the song is about his jaw-dropping.”

From Ashes To New Premiere Video For “Scars That I’m Hiding” Featuring In Flames’ Anders Fridén

From Ashes To New have premiered a new video for an alternate version of “Scars That I’m Hiding“ featuring In Flames’ Anders Fridén. This version of the song will be featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming horror film “The Retaliators.” A version of “Scars That I’m Hiding” without Fridén’s vocals will also appear on From Ashes To New‘s new album “Panic“ (out August 28).

From Ashes To New’s Matt Brandyberry commented:

“There is nothing more bad-ass than being able to act alongside so many talented artists and ‘The Retaliators‘ gave us that opportunity! As kids we grew up with dreams to be musicians and actors and we are beyond grateful to be able to bring both dreams to fruition through this project. We can’t help but feel that all of this is building the hype we know our new album ‘Panic‘ deserves. This is only the beginning for what FATN is about to do!”

Fridén added:

“We’ve had the pleasure of touring with From Ashes To New a few times, so I was excited when they asked me to do a feature on their new song. The end result sounds awesome. Can’t wait to hit the road together again hopefully soon.”

Listen To In Flames’ “Clayman 2020” EP

As previously reported, all of the aforementioned tracks will also appear on the 20th anniversary deluxe edition of “Clayman,” which will be available on August 28.
