Trivium Stream Cover Of Heaven Shall Burn’s “Implore The Darken Sky”

Trivium are streaming their cover of Heaven Shall Burn’s “Implore The Darken Sky.” You can check that out below. The track appears on Trivium and Heaven Shall Burn’s recent split release. That effort also features Heaven Shall Burn’s cover of Trivium’s “Pillars Of Serpents.” Trivium’s Matt Heafy said the following about “Implore The Darken Sky”:

“In the early days of Trivium, back when we were discovering the many great genres and flavors of heavy music, I knew about the classic greats, I knew about extreme metal, but never before had I heard what HSB was doing. Heaven Shall Burn’s ‘Whatever It May Take’ album was my first introduction to their brand of metalcore. This fusion of hardcore ethos and metal sounds blew my mind. ‘Implore the Darken Sky’ is not only my favorite HSB song, but the one that taught me so much about a sound that needed to be injected into Trivium.”

Trivium & Heaven Shall Burn Cover Each Other For New Split Release

The effort will be available on December 23 and it will feature Heaven Shall Burn’s cover of Trivium’s “Pillars Of Serpents” and Trivium‘s cover of Heaven Shall Burn‘s “Implore The Darken Sky.” Pre-orders can be found HERE.

Trivium’s Matt Heafy Says He Had COVID-19 Twice

During a recent interview with Rock 102.1 KFMA, Trivium’s Matt Heafy revealed that he ended up contracting COVID-19 again this year. This news comes after the frontman previously had a breakthrough infection last summer.

Heafy said the following while discussing his Twitch schedule:

“The main consistency is five days a week when I’m off tour, two times a day — 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. — is when I do my streams on my channel. And the majority of it — 75 to 90 percent of the time — is me playing TRIVIUM songs by request to TRIVIUM supporters. It’s me staying in shape.”

“I never take time off vocally ever; I never take time off. I had COVID last year [and] I had COVID again this year — I still didn’t stop singing and screaming and streaming to make sure that if I get the flu on tour, if I get food poisoning on tour, I’m gonna make sure I don’t have to cancel shows. So I’ll need to train through every single element.”

“When my kids were newborns, I was not getting sleep, still making sure I’m here, providing entertainment, providing community, providing all that stuff, and still keeping myself in shape year round — more like an athlete than a musician, is the way I treat it.”
