Trivium Announce “In Waves” & “Deadmen And Dragons” Livestream Shows

Trivium have announced two virtual concerts at their new headquarters, The Hanger. The first one will stream on December 11 and it will find the band performing their 2011 album “In Waves” in full. The second one will stream on December 18 and it will find the group performing songs from their latest albums “In The Court Of The Dragon” and “What The Dead Men Say.“ Fit For An Autopsy will open.

Frontman Matt Heafy commented:

“‘In Waves’ is hailed as one of the greatest Trivium albums of all time. While Trivium has the greatest supporters on earth, The Shogunate is also incredibly passionate on their decision of the best classic record. The fanbase always seems to be resoundingly split on three albums when it comes to speaking of ‘the best’: ‘Ascendancy,’ ‘Shogun,’ and ‘In Waves.’

‘In Waves’ is an album where Trivium embarked on a journey to a new world of sounds, textures, feelings, and visuals. ‘In Waves’ was the moment where Trivium finally, truly realized everything of its visuals. The ‘In Waves’ album changed the course of history for Trivium, and its influence and impact is vastly apparent in the current modern metal scene.”

Bassist Paolo Gregoletto added:

“‘Deadmen & Dragons’ is the celebration of the last two years — two albums, The Hangar, the ‘Metal Tour of the Year,’ and of course ‘A Light Or A Distant Mirror.’ The moment we knew that touring was off the table in 2020, we shifted focus back to the creative process. This stream is the closing of this unexpected chapter of Trivium and the beginning of a new one full of many exciting possibilities with The Hangar.”

Fit For An Autopsy Premiere “Pandora” Music Video

Fit For An Autopsy have premiered a new video for their new song “Pandora.” This track is from the band’s new album “Oh What The Future Holds,” which will be released on January 14.

The group said the following about the song:

“This is one of our favorite new songs, as it touches on a lot of our influences all at once and represents a collective of our musical tastes. Lyrically, it describes the inevitable path to environmental destruction via the mechanisms we’ve permitted to control society. It’s not an unfamiliar topic for FFAA, but an important one nonetheless and one we will continue to write about.”

They also added the following about the Max Moore-directed video:

“[It] paints this theme in a symbolic way, with the relationship between the characters acting as a parallel to our relationship with the earth. A world driven by extinction only ends in extinction. Thanks for listening.”

Killswitch Engage, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Etc. Members Guest In Loss Becomes’ “Healing” Music Video

Loss Becomes have premiered a new video for their song “Healing.” The clip features cameos from Killswitch Engage’s Jesse Leach, The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Ben Weinman, Fit For An Autopsy’s Tim Howley, etc. and it can be seen below. The band commented:

“‘Healing‘ is a song about celebrating life after death. Loss is always hard to accept, especially when it’s someone you’re close to, but having that person in your life is a miracle in itself worth honoring through celebration. The upbeat tempo and driving riffs reflect themes of joy & festivity that come to a halt with a monstrous slap bass solo & massive outro riffs that represent the process of mourning, grieving and ultimately, healing.”

Fit For An Autopsy Premiere “Far From Heaven” Video, Reveal Details For New Album “Oh What The Future Holds”

Fit For An Autopsy have premiered a new video for their new song “Far From Heaven.” This track is from the band’s new album “Oh What The Future Holds,” which will be released on January 14.

The group commented:

“This song felt like a worthy introduction to premiere the album, picking up where we left off creatively from our last release. Although there are more drastic dynamic turns on the new album, ‘Far From Heaven‘ delivers from a more simplistic and primal place. Lyrically, this record digs a little further into internal turmoil as well, but this song is in a way a much more literal and grounded representation of our continued frustration with institutions and class gaps that exist in all facets of society. The powerful video, directed by Eric Richter, is a great thematic visual counterpart to the inherent dark nature of the song. Hope you enjoy it — we certainly do.”
