Architects Release “Holy Ghost” Documentary

Architects have released their new Tom Welsh directed documentary “Holy Ghost.” The film focuses on everything that led up to the band’s new album “Holy Hell“ (out November 9), including the devastating loss of guitarist Tom Searle, who died from cancer in 2016. It also features live footage from their February 2018, sold out performance at London’s Alexandra Palace. Drummer Dan Searle commented:

“I guess the biggest lesson I’ve learned, that’s repeatedly come to me and actually underpins the whole meaning behind the record is that you can go through terrible things and come out as a better person at the other end of it.”

Architects Reveal Details For New Album “Holy Hell”, Premiere “Hereafter” Music Video

Architects have announced that their new album “Holy Hell“ will be released on November 9. This will be the band’s first record since the tragic death of guitarist/songwriter Tom Searle. A video for the first single “Hereafter” can be found below:

Tom’s brother and Architects drummer Dan Searle said the following about the album:

“In those first months after Tom’s death, I didn’t deal with it at all and I felt so unhappy and anxious. I’d ignored it and just tried to cope. But I knew that at some point, I had to learn from it.”

“Ultimately, there were two choices. Feel sorry for yourself, and believe the world to be a horrible place and let it defeat you. Or let it inspire us to live the life that Tom would have wanted us to live. I was very worried about people taking away a despondent message from the album. I felt a level of responsibility to provide a light at the end of the tunnel for people who are going through terrible experiences.”

“For me, broadly speaking Holy Hell is about pain: the way we process it, cope with it, and live with it. There is value in pain. It’s where we learn, it’s where we grow.”
