Holding Absence Premiere “Beyond Belief” Video

Holding Absence have premiered a new video for their new song “Beyond Belief.” This track is from the band’s new album “The Greatest Mistake Of My Life,” which will be released on April 16.

The group said the following about the song:

“We are ecstatic to finally unveil ‘Beyond Belief‘ to the world! Just as jumping from black and white into colour is a huge change for our band, we believe the transition into ‘Beyond Belief‘, and subsequently ‘The Greatest Mistake Of My Life‘, is similarly significant.

‘Beyond Belief‘ sees our band embracing the 80’s indie-shoegaze era with both arms, while still gripping firmly onto all the sounds that have made us who we are up until now. A song about love, and the fear of permanence – this really is Holding Absence, like you’ve never heard us before.”

They also added the following about the album:

“This album is about telling stories that are presented through the lens of hindsight, regret and looking back. There are songs that celebrate life when faced with death, and others that speak to the choices we make about how we live our lives. The fear of love, newfound respect for life and the covering up of depression are all subjects that rear their head.

‘The Greatest Mistake Of My Life‘ exercises emotion in many ways, and that was an important thing for us to do, because emotion isn’t rigid – it’s not just love or joy or sadness – it’s a lot of things.”

Holding Absence Premiere “Birdcage” Lyric Video

Holding Absence have premiered a lyric video for their new song “Birdcage.“ This track and the band’s recent single “Gravity” were released as a limited edition 7″ picture disc today (April 17). Lucas Woodland commented:

“‘Birdcage‘ is probably the most poppy track we’ve ever released as HA, and we’re really proud of the outcome. Working with Romesh Dodangoda (Bring Me The Horizon/Twin Atlantic/Don Broco) gave us the great opportunity to refine our sound in a way we’d not yet tried before, so the aim for this track was to make it as catchy and sleek as possible. We’re very happy with the outcome and can’t wait for people to get their hands on the double-sided picture disk!”

Holding Absence Premiere “Gravity” Music Video

Holding Absence have premiered a new video for their new song “Gravity.“ This track and another new song titled “Birdcage” will be released as a limited edition 7″ picture disc on April 17.

Lucas Woodland commented:

“We’re ecstatic to be releasing ‘Gravity‘ today – We feel like it’s a real step forward in maturity and quality for our band! The song was originally going to be put on our sophomore album but, after our VISA’s got denied and our US tour got cancelled, we decided we should make the best of a bad situation and work towards getting it out as soon as possible.

We’re always trying our best as a band to release music as often and unconventionally as possible, so putting out another Double-A single release is something we’re super excited about, and we can’t wait to show people the second track ‘Birdcage‘ in the coming weeks.”

“To close off 2019, we are ecstatic to be announcing our biggest headline show yet! Not only will we be playing at the London Scala – We’ll also be playing our entire back catalogue front to back! This will include songs we’ve been playing since the inception of the band, and songs that we’ve never played live before. We urge anybody who’s able to come along to this show as it’s going to be a hugely special one for us.”

Holding Absence Premiere “Monochrome” Music Video

Holding Absence have premiered a new video for their song “Monochrome.“ This track is from the band’s self-titled debut album, which will be released on March 8. Vocalist Lucas Woodland commented:

“We’re so proud and excited to show everybody Monochrome, the song shows our band sonically and visually in a new light and opens a lot of doors for us. We feel like this track, alongside the prior 3 singles released are a great insight as to what our album has to offer and what fans can expect.”

In other news, the group will also be heading out on a UK tour with Luke Rainsford and The Nightmares. That trek was originally supposed to feature Capsize, but they were removed following sexual misconduct allegations. Holding Absence commented:
