Watch Pup, Masked Intruder, Etc. Members Cover Bonnie Raitt’s “Something To Talk About” In The Style Of Guns N’ Roses

“Two Minutes To Late Night” have shared footage of their host Jordan “Gwarsenio Hall” Olds performing a quarantine cover of Bonnie Raitt’s “Something To Talk About” in the style of Guns N’ Roses. The latest track finds Olds joined by Angus Clark (Cher, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), Mrs. Smith, Intruder Green (Masked Intruder), Angela Phillips (A Deer A Horse), La Sinistra (Witch Taint), and Zack Mykula (Pup).

“Two Minutes To Late Night” said the following:

“Welcome to the jingle! We covered a Bonnie Rait karaoke staple in the style of a little mom rock band you might have heard of called Guns ‘n’ Roses! This one is really silly with 66.6% of our participants hiding their beautiful faces. And Angus plays guitar for Cher… Holy shit!

Godla commented:

“By keeping the set times between 5 and 15 minutes for each artist, it allows me to not only keep things moving, but mix it up in ways that conventional festivals simply can’t. Every single hour will contain big names and emerging artists right next to each other.

I’m trying to look at the bright side of our current situation, and not only make this an entertaining way to see the artists you love flex their creativity in new ways, but hope this event acts as a place of discovery for every viewer out there.

Finding a band or artist to fall in love with is the mark of a great festival to me, and it’s my honor to share the work of these amazing individuals I curated because I’m passionate about them. I’ve been in touch with all of them every step of the way, and some even managed to throw me a few surprises.

I’m honored and humbled to have all of them part of this, they truly went above and beyond to showcase their craft for the Slay At Home fest, and I can’t wait for the world to see something really special come to life this weekend.”

Money raised from the event will benefit MusiCares and Global Giving.

Metallica’s Kirk Hammett Loses To Mrs. Smith In “Cry Baby Battle Royale” Wah-Off

Kirk Hammett recently took his love of the wah-wah pedal to the battlefield as he challenged Mrs. Smith in the “Cry Baby Battle Royale” wah-off. However, the Metallica guitarist ultimately lost the fight. You can see footage of that below. The event took place at the Senate in Columbia, South Carolina on March 8, the same night Hammett performed with The Wedding Band.

‪KIRK HAMMETT VS. MRS. SMITH‬ ‪CRY BABY BATTLE ROYALE‬ ‪March 8 at The Senate in Columbia, SC‬ ‪ ‬ ‪Who would dare challenge the status of @KirkHammett as King of the Cry Baby Wah Pedal? His reign has long been undisputed and recognized by millions of fans the world over, not to mention Wah manufacturers, @jimdunlopusa, who feature a Kirk Hammett Signature model. Last year, the gauntlet was thrown down by a most unlikely challenger… Mrs. Smith! New York City-based philanthropist, emerging guitar goddess, and lover of all cats (as well as some people), @smithcatmrs has dared to proclaim that she is, in fact, the #1 Abuser of the Wah. Kirk has accepted her challenge, and now these two will finally go head to head (foot to foot?) in a Cry Baby Battle Royale for the ages on March 8th at The Senate in Columbia, SC! Get tickets for this once in a lifetime showdown now! LINK IN KIRK’S BIO #CryBabyBattleRoyale #WAHOFF #kirkhammett #smithcatmrs‬
