Enslaved commented:

“We are aware of the uncertainty surrounding any activities being planned for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile, incurable optimism and a pragmatic outlook is in our nature. This has guided us in making plans for May 2021; plans for a tour that will finally bring the ‘Utgard‘-live concept outside of Norway. Expect to see an Enslaved-show unlike anything you have seen before!!!

Tickets will go on sale this Friday October 16th. We cannot wait to hit the road with class acts such as Intronaut, Obsidian Kingdom and CROWN.

And yes… in case we cannot bring ‘Utgard‘ to the stage May 2021 – we already have a backup solution for early 2022 (Peter Griffin-style sigh). Any purchased tickets will of course remain valid!

We will observe the situation closely and keep you updated. We have high hopes that ‘Utgard‘ can be presented to the world, live on stage by May 2021. This is who we are.

Of course, the health of everyone involved is our number one priority, and we will never compromise on that. Stay safe!
See you in the Flesh!

Cloudkicker Streams New Version Of “Not To Scale Or Painted” Featuring Intronaut’s Sacha Dunable

Cloudkicker has released a new version of “Not To Scale Or Painted” featuring Intronaut‘s Sacha Dunable. This track is from his new album “Solitude,” which will be released on September 8. Cloudkicker mastermind Ben Sharp commented:

“Hey all, here is track 9 of my new album ‘Solitude,’ which is a re-recorded version of ‘Not to Scale or Painted‘. The song was reworked a bit, with some new additions by Sacha Dunable of Intronaut. He and I also worked together on ‘What They Do Is Not Art,’ which will be track 2 of the album.”

Intronaut Release Cover Of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Run Through The Jungle”

Intronaut have released a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Run Through The Jungle.“ Frontman Sacha Dunable said the following about that:

“Sometime during the writing process for ‘Fluid Existental Inversions‘, I had the idea to cover this song, from one of my favorite bands and songwriters of all time. The relatively simple harmonic structure of the original recording made for a great blank canvas for us to ‘Intronaut‘ the song up quite a bit. We tracked most of the song during the ‘FEI’ session but didn’t have time to finish until this spring.”

This is our 14th bedroom cover made with the support of Patreon. With so many musicians stuck at home with no outlets, we’re going to keep producing these style videos and use the Patreon to give some money to everyone who has a part in them. Godla commented:

“By keeping the set times between 5 and 15 minutes for each artist, it allows me to not only keep things moving, but mix it up in ways that conventional festivals simply can’t. Every single hour will contain big names and emerging artists right next to each other.

I’m trying to look at the bright side of our current situation, and not only make this an entertaining way to see the artists you love flex their creativity in new ways, but hope this event acts as a place of discovery for every viewer out there.

Finding a band or artist to fall in love with is the mark of a great festival to me, and it’s my honor to share the work of these amazing individuals I curated because I’m passionate about them. I’ve been in touch with all of them every step of the way, and some even managed to throw me a few surprises.

I’m honored and humbled to have all of them part of this, they truly went above and beyond to showcase their craft for the Slay At Home fest, and I can’t wait for the world to see something really special come to life this weekend.”

Money raised from the event will benefit MusiCares and Global Giving.

The experience of a live concert is irreplaceable, but my aim with Slay At Home is to provide every person in the world an experience they haven’t seen yet, right from their own devices. I’ve never been more proud to be part of the metal community and have so many great friends willing to join the fun, as we support two great organizations.”
