Exhorder Premiere “My Time” Music Video, Reveal Details For New Album “Mourn The Southern Skies”

Exhorder have premiered a new video for their new song “My Time.” This track is from the band’s new album “Mourn The Southern Skies,” which will be released on September 20. That effort will be their first in 27 years.

“Mourn The Southern Skies” Track Listing:

01. “My Time”
02. “Asunder”
03. “Hallowed Sounds”
04. “Beware The Wolf”
05. “Yesterday’s Bones”
06. “All She Wrote”
07. “Rumination”
08. “The Arms Of Man”
09. “Ripping Flesh”
10. “Mourn The Southern Skies”

Vinnie La Bella had the following to say about the group’s return:

“You can plot and scheme for years, even decades (as is in our case). You can work hard, keep grinding, bang the square peg in the round hole until it looks somewhat presentable. But sometimes you just need to let time tell you, it’s time.

Exhorder has its own soul. And it pokes me in the ribs ever so often as if to remind me, ‘Hey asshole, we ain’t done yet!’ Kyle and myself had a dream as teenagers. And as cliche as it may seem, we never woke up from it. Exhorder has always crept in and out of our lives. So no magic bullet or formula here.

It was only a simple matter of time before the right guys, the right songs, the right manager/label would finally come to the party. It’s been damn near 35 years since we first uttered the name, Exhorder. 27 years since our last record, and a whole lot of breaking up and making up in between. So why is this time different? Why start again at 50 years of age instead of retiring? Simple… because it’s finally, TIME!”

Exhorder Finish Recording New Album

Exhorder have officially finished the recording process for their new album. The effort will be the band’s first since 1992 and it will be released later this year via Nuclear Blast

Vinnie La Bella commented:

“27 years? Man, that’s a big number! A lot has transpired over the course of such an extended amount of time, and this record touches on it all. There is material on this record that is literally 27 years old along with material that was written just six months ago, and everything in between.

There are truly no words to express the emotions which are connected with this moment. And that’s pretty convenient because I prefer to do my talking in the ring/stage anyway. But the people who really made this what it is cannot go without mention: my incredible bandmates; Simon and crew at AISA Management; all at Nuclear Blast Records; and Duane Simoneaux at OCD Recording. Jens Bogren was an unquestionable genius! So honored to have him on this.

This is, without a doubt, for the first time in our career, the album we intended to give you. Production, sound, art, it’s all there, with no compromise! I’m eternally grateful for all who helped make it happen. And to all that have waited for it, prayed for it, begged for it, or even dreaded this moment, much love and I’ll see you in the ‘ring!'”
