Windhand To Stream New Live Session Next Month

Windhand will be streaming a recently recorded live set on November 14 as part of the “Levitation Sessions.” Tickets for that can be found HERE. The band commented:

“It was great to get together with the band after so many months apart, to plug in all the gear and let the demons loose once again. For a moment there it almost felt like being back on the road. We got to work with our old friends like Jonathan Kassalow (lighting and organ), and frequent music video collaborator Jordan Vance. They pulled it all together and made the show a heavy visual experience to pair with the audio which was recorded and mixed by our live sound engineer, Chris Moore. We look forward to seeing you on the road sometime soon at a real show, but this is as close as we’ll get for now. Hope y’all enjoy.”

Watch Windhand, Cave In, Etc. Members Cover Type O Negative’s “Be My Druidess”

“Two Minutes To Late Night” have shared footage of their host Jordan “Gwarsenio Hall” Olds performing a quarantine cover of Type O Negative’s “Be My Druidess” with Dorthia Cottrell (Windhand, Darling), Lisa Mungo (Fucked And Bound, Daughters), Leanne Martz (Darling), Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man), and J.R. Conners (Cave In, Nomad Stones). You can check that out below. “Two Minutes To Late Night” commented:

“Crudy kisses! We got a bunch of sensitive Satanists to cover a song for the ladies. Hopefully, this is your Type o’cover, ya dig? This is our 18th bedroom cover made with the support of Patreon (hot damn). With so many musicians stuck at home with no outlets, we’re going to keep producing these style videos and use the Patreon to give some money to everyone who has a part in them. Please support our friends by donating to our newly redone Patreon at https://www.honorableswords.com

Baroness, Windhand, Etc. Members Join Forces In Darling

Gina Gleason (Baroness), Dorthia Cottrell (Windhand), and Leanne Martz (Misstallica) have launched a new project called Darling. The band’s first single “Baptists” can be purchased on Bandcamp with proceeds set to go towards For The Gwols.

Cottrell commented:

“So Gina and Leanne and I have been playing and writing songs together for a little while now just having fun and trying to live out our childhood “all girl band” fantasies haha This is one of the songs we have been working on and we are nervous but excited to share it with you all!

Its an honor and a blast to play with these two extremely talented women who I am very lucky to consider two of my best friends. You can pay what you want for the song on our Bandcamp and we’ve decided to donate all the proceeds to the @forthegworlsparty fund for black trans people that helps with rent and gender affirmative surgery, as this song is about someone I loved a lot who was a part of the trans community but who sadly is no longer with us as a result of the difficulties she faced just trying to be herself.

This song is the first of many more to come, hope you guys like it!”
