Immolation Working On New Album

It looks like Immolation are working on a new album. Guitarist Robert Vigna told Heavy New York the following:

“We’re going to be going out on the Decibel Magazine Tour in March, part of that tour, which has Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Necrot and Blood Incantation, so it’s going to be a heavy tour. We’re doing a part of that. We’re working on a new record now as well and we’re also going to be doing some touring in Europe, like the festivals throughout the summertime. Probably hitting Australia and Asia and possibly South America before the end of the year. Hopefully U.S. tour by the end of the year. We’re going to be busy and hopefully working up toward our new record possibly by end of the year, early next year. We got a lot going on.”

Soulfly Premiere Lyric Video For “Under Rapture” Feat. Ross Dolan (Immolation)

Soulfly have premiered a lyric video for their song “Under Rapture.” This track features Ross Dolan (Immolation) and it appears on the band’s new album “Ritual,” which was released today (October 19). Dolan commented:

“It was really exciting for me to be part of the new Soulfly album. ‘Under Rapture’ is a crushing song and I was on board the second I heard it. It was truly an honor for me to have been part of this. I think it’s a sick song both musically and lyrically and I am really happy with the end result! This collaboration started last February when we were invited out as support on the ‘Return To Roots’ tour which eventually led to Max singing on the ‘Morbid Visions’ cover we did for the ‘Death Is Just The Beginning’ comp. As fans, having Max part of this made it really special and truly meant the world to us.”

Immolation Preview Cover Of Sepultura’s “Morbid Visions” Feat. Max Cavalera

Immolation have shared a preview of their cover of Sepultura’s “Morbid Visions.” The track features former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera (Soulfly, etc.) and it will appear on Nuclear Blast‘s “Death…Is Just The Beginning MMXVIII” compilation, which is set to be released on October 19. Immolation commented:

“We had a great time recording Sepultura‘s ‘Morbid Visions‘ as it was one of the classic songs we used to cover on stage back in the day when our band first started! So to record this track, and even more amazing to have Max as part of it, was something really special for us!! We are glad to share this with all the fans of extreme music and to be included on this installment with such great bands!”
