Gavin Rossdale Already Has 10 Songs Written For Bush’s Next Album

It looks like Bush are already working on material for a follow-up to their 2020 album “The Kingdom.” During a recent appearance on “The Jeremy White Podcast,” Gavin Rossdale revealed that he has already written 10 songs for the band’s next record.

Rossdale said the following:

“I’m halfway through a bunch of songs. And then I also plan to go collaborate — see what the band have got, see what [‘The Kingdom’ producer/collaborator] Tyler’s [Bates] got. I just wanna do a great record. I’m already 10 songs into a new record.

We have 30 million plays of ‘The Kingdom’. Now, would we have had 100 million if we’d gone on tour? Maybe. But, look, people were dying. We stayed safe. The world collapsed. I didn’t moan for one minute about it. Everyone’s dealing with different situations. I think it’s gonna be like the Roaring Twenties when we go back [to playing live concerts].

I want everyone to come to the shows and lose inhibitions and have fun and hang out. It’s gonna be such a celebration of life. So I think it would be smart — if you guys agree — [for us to] make a new record and then go later in the year, or come next year, and tour everything, tour all the records. Who cares?”

Foo Fighters, Perry Farrell, Sammy Hagar, Etc. To Take Part In Upcoming “Rock ‘N’ Relief: Live Stream” Concert Series

Foo Fighters, Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Sammy Hagar, L7, Deadmau5, Jewel, Ziggy Marley, Linda Perry, Silversun Pickups, K.Flay, Macy Gray, and more will be taking part in the upcoming “Rock ‘N’ Relief Live Stream” series to help raise money for CORE’s mobile Covid-19 vaccination program. The event, which is being curated by Perry, will take place on March 5-6 at 12pm – 6:30pm PST and fans will be able to watch it on the Amazon Music mobile app, the Amazon Music Twitch channel, and the Rolling Stone YouTube channel. Perry commented:

“As a mother and fellow member of this community, I wanted to do something to lift spirits and send a positive message of hope and humanity to all the healthcare workers and those on the front lines, as well as raise awareness and funds to support CORE and their relief efforts. When I first put the word out, many jumped on board to contribute; we had over 150 bands submit to play… We are extremely overwhelmed by the level of support we are getting from these rebel artists who are generously donating their time and so grateful for the backing from the biggest players in the media space. Can’t wait to get the word out and provide much-needed funding for CORE while entertaining and lifting the spirits of the nation.”
