Alpha Wolf Premiere “Hotel Underground” Music Video

Alpha Wolf have premiered a new video for their new song “Hotel Underground.” This track is from the band’s new split EP with Holding Absence. That effort is titled “The Lost & The Longing” and it will be available on August 15. Vocalist Lochie Keogh commented:

“Whenever some bomb drops, there’s always those motherfuckers on the side that narrowly avoid the fallout, taking their survival as a flimsy proof of innocence, sitting with their hands over ears crying ‘La la la la.’ Roaches, rats, locusts, pests, rodents — open your ears and listen to me. Your time is coming and I’m bringing it to you.”

Alpha Wolf & Holding Absence To Release New Split EP “The Lost & The Longing” In August

Alpha Wolf and Holding Absence have announced a new split EP called “The Lost & The Longing.” The effort will be released on August 15 and its first single, “Aching Longing,” can be found below:

“The Lost & The Longing” Track Listing:

01. Alpha Wolf – “60cm Of Steel” (feat. Holding Absence)
02. Alpha Wolf – “Hotel Underground”
03. Holding Absence – “Aching Longing” (feat. Alpha Wolf)
04. Holding Absence – “Coffin”

Holding Absence’s Lucas Woodland commented:

“We’re ecstatic to be announcing ‘The Lost & The Longing‘, our split EP with Alpha Wolf! They are a band we’ve loved as people and musicians for years now, and we’re so grateful they wanted to drop this release with us. We can’t wait for people to hear our two new singles ‘Aching Longing‘ and ‘Coffin,’ too! ‘Aching Longing‘ is our band at its heaviest yet, and ‘Coffin‘ is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. We are always trying to stretch our band into new shapes, and can’t wait for people to hear what we’ve produced with these two tracks!”

Alpha Wolf’s Sabian Lunch added:

“We first met Holding Absence back in 2019 at the Impericon fests in Europe and we got along like a house on fire. We really enjoy their super catchy tunes and luckily enough they enjoy our heavy tunes. We talked a bunch over social media and kept up to date with what they were doing and when Lucas (jokingly) mentioned that we should do a split, it surprisingly just seemed like the best idea ever. We both released albums around the same time and it made sense, timing-wise, for us both to release new music at the same time. Working with them has been a breeze and we’d do it again in a heartbeat.”

In Hearts Wake Team Up With Alpha Wolf For New Song “Dogma”

In Hearts Wake have teamed up with Alpha Wolf for a new song titled “Dogma.” This track is from the deluxe edition of In Hearts Wake’s latest album “Kaliyuga.“ The effort, which the group are calling the “Kaliyuga Booster Pack,“ will be available on February 11 and it will feature various bonus tracks including: “Dogma,” “War,” and “Torn In Two,” as well as live versions of “Crisis,” “Worldwide Suicide,” “Timebomb,” “Son Of A Witch,” and “Hellbringer.” The band commented:

“We set ourselves the challenge to write an entire song about dogs and had so much fun doing it. Sticking true to the theme, who better to ask to feature on ‘Dogma‘ than Alpha Wolf? Working with the dudes from Alpha Wolf was an enjoyable process. They take pride in their work and know how to have fun. Woof Woof! ‘Dogma‘ is part of our upcoming ‘Kaliyuga Booster Pack‘, which includes three brand new songs and also five live tracks from the Brisbane Tivoli — the only show thus far on the ‘Kaliyuga‘ album cycle. With the rest of the rescheduled Australia ‘Kaliyuga‘ tour finally happening in one month and it already being 80 percent sold, we absolutely can’t wait to crush stages all across the country!”

Alpha Wolf Release Lo-Fi Remix Of “Bleed 4 You”

Alpha Wolf have released a lo-fi remix of their song “Bleed 4 You.“ You can check that out below:

Guitarist Scott Simpson commented:

“The idea of this track was birthed during a gloomy lockdown afternoon. We didn’t like the idea of having a year without a new release; and although it may not be what people are expecting, I think this remix caps off the vibe of what has been a really strange year for all. So I hope everyone can find some sort of comfort in this song wherever they are in the world.”

“Working with [remixer] Mik on this was great. He really transformed the original version into something we couldn’t really think it could be. Obviously being our most melodically driven song it made the most sense to try a remix like this, and it brought out a whole new life to the song.”
