Nickelback Cancel “All The Right Reasons” 15th Anniversary Tour

Nickelback have cancelled their “All The Right Reasons” 15th anniversary tour due to the coronavirus pandemic. The trek, which also featured Stone Temple Pilots, Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, and Switchfoot, was supposed to kick off next month.

Nickelback commented:

“The ability to make music, tour and share memorable experiences with everyone across the world is all that we could have ever possibly imagined and hoped for throughout our career.

Over the past few months we have been in constant communication with our team, tour industry professionals, medical professionals and everyone that could help guide us collaboratively on a safe path forward. The health, safety and well-being of our amazing fans, the Artists on tour with us, our collective touring crews, venue personnel and the communities in which we perform are our number one priority.

While we all hoped for a different outcome, we regrettably cannot move forward and must cancel the All The Right Reasons Tour this summer.

So many have been affected by this and that is not something we take for granted. The right thing to do is ensure that our fans have access to refund options during these challenging times. For details regarding refund options, visit or reach out directly to your point of purchase.

We would like to send Stone Temple Pilots, Switchfoot, Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown and their respective teams our gratitude and best wishes for being incredibly patient and supportive. We hope to see you all back out on the road soon and wish you continued success!

We will keep you posted as soon as we have an idea on when we can get back out on the road and play for you again. We look forward to that day more than we could ever put into words. Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support.

In the meantime, please stay safe and well.”

Ex-Norma Jean Drummer Shares Unfinished Video For “Vertebraille: Choke That Thief Called Dependence”

Norma Jean’s “O’ God, The Aftermath” recently turned 15 and to celebrate, former drummer Daniel Davison has shared an unfinished 2005 video for “Vertebraille: Choke That Thief Called Dependence.” You can check that out below:

I was reminded today that “O god, the aftermath” came out 15 years ago, today. This was a very special record for me and my friends who made it, and a very special and defining period of time for me. At that time, everything for me was about art. Music as art, lyrics as art, album art work as art, live show as art, video projection as art. When I was home from tour, everything I did revolved around art – video, super 8 film, photography, assemblage and mixed media art – and for no other reasons than having an open creative outlet, responding to inspiration, and for the enjoyment in the process – anything else satisfying beyond that was a bonus. This was a nice and well timed reminder for me today. I recently found this video for the song “Vertebraille”, that I’d started to mess around with right after the record came out. I never finished it, then totally forgot about it. The live footage is from 2005. My buddy Casey and I ordered a bunch of security cameras from eBay and we would set them up around the stage and incorporate the security cam feeds in with our video projection footage each night. Somehow we figured out a way to record this security camera footage, and that’s what this video is edited from. No filters, or post glitches added, just cheap-o security cameras, and a suitcase full of RCA cables and gaff tape. #ogodtheaftermath

The Juliana Theory To Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of “Emotion Is Dead” At Special Shows

The Juliana Theory have announced some special shows with Mae. The concerts will find The Juliana Theory celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Emotion Is Dead” and Mae celebrating the 15th anniversary of “The Everglow.” Here’s the dates:

06/13 Brooklyn, NY – Music Hall Of Williamsburg
06/27 Los Angeles, CA – The Roxy Theatre

The Juliana Theory‘s Brett Detar commented:

“20 years ago a little band of friends from a small town in Pennsylvania released an album we recorded on a shoestring budget in a converted garage. We were barely as old then as the record is now and some of us were younger than that but it changed all of our lives. Time moves so quickly but our connection to those magic-fill days of our youth is something that never really fades.

When Josh and I hit the road this past fall to play an acoustic tour we had an absolute blast reconnecting with each other, with these old songs, and especially with all of you who came out to sing along with us. That was the first real tour any version of the band had done in 14 years – but only a few months prior to that we genuinely didn’t know if we would ever play together again as a band.

Sometimes life has a way of taking the plans you make and laughing at them. Things that you have every intention of making happen sometimes fall apart in ways that are out of your control. I guess that’s a part of being human. But seeing so many of you come out to embrace the stripped down acoustic version of TJT warmed our hearts. Without fail, the number one question we got every night was “When will you play full band shows again?” Thank you for that – we listened.

So, for the 20th anniversary of Emotion Is Dead we will be playing the album in its entirety at a small number of shows, and to make it extra special we are teaming up with our friends in MAE who will be playing the 15th anniversary of their album The Everglow. Oh and don’t think we forgot, because like I said – we are listening to you all, we’ve partnered with our old friends at Tooth & Nail and Unoriginal Vinyl to finally give the album its long overdue second pressing on vinyl (and first as a double LP).

We will have a hand full of limited pressings with us at these shows and let me just say that they look gorgeous. We love ya and look forward to seeing you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for still having a special place in yours for Emotion is Dead and a little band from Pennsylvania called Juliana Theory.
– xo, Brett“
