Watch Mastodon, Dethklok, Municipal Waste, Etc. Members Cover King Diamond’s “No Presents For Christmas”

“Two Minutes To Late Night” have shared footage of their host Jordan “Gwarsenio Hall” Olds performing a quarantine cover of King Diamond‘s “No Presents For Christmas” with Brann Dailor (Mastodon, Arcadea), Brendon Small (Dehtklok, etc.), Nick Cageao (Mutoid Man), and Dave Witte (Municipal Waste, Brain Tentacles). “Two Miunutes To Late Night” said the following:

“Happy Halloween/Christmas/Channukah! We covered King Diamond with Brendon Small (Metalocalypse! Galaktikon! HOME MOVIES!) but it was Brann‘s idea. This is our 28th bedroom cover made with the support of Patreon. With so many musicians stuck at home with no outlets, we’re going to keep producing these style videos and use Patreon to give some money to everyone who has a part in them. Please support our friends by donating to our newly redone Patreon at http://www.honorableswords.com.”

Quarantine rocks! Had a blast in my home studio yesterday laying down vocals for the upcoming @SternPinball X @incendiumonline @HeavyMetal Pinball Machine!! With music recorded by Brendon Small from Metalocolypse I am proud to be a guest vocalist for Dethklok!! We are recording a song from The Heavy Metal Soundtrack Album which is an album that I love! All I had to do was go to my vinyl library (which is in my studio), put on the record, learn this mother trucker and then lay it down! This is the first pinball machine I have ever done vocals for and I am honored to be a part of this! Stay tuned for a preview on an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With the Sebastian's which I am gonna be working on during this f***** up time! You know what? I have to say something! I have done so much touring over the last few years that this whole lockdown situation is working out okay for me! Yes I wish this never happened obviously but I have a new record deal and I finally have the time now to get cracking on my new record! We can definitely record during this time sending files back and forth and I am totally set up to lay down vocals right here in my crib so this is working out great actually! Stay tuned for new album news that is what we are focusing on! Finally! Pic: My hot 🔥hot 🔥hot🔥 Lockdown Lover @suzanne_le_bach ( you can lock me down anytime honey) 💋😍💋😃❤💞

Posehn said the following about the album:

“The original concept for this album came from bands like Scatterbrain and S.O.D., and even Cheech and Chong. They all made music that was fun and funny, heavy music that also made you laugh.

I wanted this to be the ultimate comedy/metal record, a loving record that made fun of some of the things in heavy metal, so I called all my friends and asked for a bunch of favors.

There’s a Satan song, and there’s a Viking song, there’s one song that sounds like Black Metal, and then there’s one that sounds like a Van Halen party song. The intention was just to make a funny metal/comedy record for people who like both of those things.”

He also added:

“This was such a dream project for me. I wanted to take my time, I wanted it to be perfect, so it took us six years to complete. It’s the ‘Chinese Democracy‘ of comedy-metal records. And it didn’t cost thirteen million dollars to make.”

If you missed it, the first single from “Grandpa Metal”, Posehn’s cover of A-ha‘s “Take On Me”, can be found below:
