Malefic Throne (Morbid Angel, Origin, Etc.) Premiere New Song “Deciding The Hierarchy”

Malefic Throne, the new project featuring Gene Palubicki (Perdition Temple), Steve Tucker (Morbid Angel), and John Longstreth (Origin, Hate Eternal), have premiered a new song titled “Deciding The Hierarchy.” This track is from the band’s upcoming self-titled EP, which will be released through Hells Headbangers. Palubicki said the following about the project:

“Malefic Throne was conceived over conversations and shared ideas among the three of us since around summer of 2020, deep in the early pandemic upheaval, while everyone was — and has been — in limbo for live shows/tours/etc. We hit on the idea of just going for it, writing some furious death metal material with the three of us, and seeing what would happen. Given who the bandmembers are, it is surely clear the nature of what this is all about. We originally considered just doing an independently released demo, but we approached Hells Headbangers to see if they were interested in handling the debut EP release. They agreed, and onward it goes.”

Omnium Gatherum Premiere “Fortitude” Music Video

Omnium Gatherum have premiered a new video for their new song “Fortitude.” This track is from the band’s new album “Origin,“ which will be released on November 5. The group commented:

“‘Fortitude‘ was filmed at Munapirtti, an island in the Southeast Finland, near Kotka. This cabin is the sacred sanctuary, our secret lair in the woods, where we have rehearsed many many bandcamps before entering the studios to record new albums since ‘New World Shadows‘. Isolated from the world.”

Omnium Gatherum Premiere “Reckoning” Music Video

Omnium Gatherum have premiered a new video for their new song “Reckoning.” This track is from the band’s new album “Origin,“ which will be released on November 5.

Guitarist Markus Vanhala commented:

“‘Reckoning‘ is a certain powersong or an uplifting song which we needed to rise from the depths of a past year, and it was the last song we wrote for the new album. Adult oriented death metal at its finest glory, that dark and shiny place where Def Leppard and death metal meets. Death Leppard, maybe? The music video saved a warm memory from a very hot summer day in my hometown of Kotka, where we played at the rocks of the beautiful island of Rankki. Lying on the rocks zipping cold beer and driving with the boats at the sea. Kotka isn’t that far from Miami, except geographically.”

Vocalist Jukka Pelkonen added:

“This song is clearly and absolutely about a situation where someone is really trying to mess things up and goes about doing it in secrecy. ‘A Story’ about an individual who is so messed up that he/she turns against the people who really matter. This is a certain way to ruin, yet the one doing so denies all responsibility ‘avoiding only the truth’…”

Omnium Gatherum Premiere “Paragon” Music Video

Omnium Gatherum have premiered a new video for their new song “Paragon.” This track is from the band’s new album “Origin,“ which will be released on November 5.

Frontman Jukka Pelkonen commented:

“Basically ‘Paragon‘ is about overcoming obstacles and hard situations. Anything that comes to the way may be intense and malign, but it will not shatter the diamond of resolve, that is the paragon.”

Guitarist/vocalist Markus Vanhala added:

“…that leads us to the near past times of the band. Not only some virus but also weird lineup changes made our last year really difficult. But Finnish perseverance means that hard times and crisis are made to take on as a challenge, overcome them and refine yourself better. So here we are, back on track stronger than ever! That’s why there’s a minimum amount of Finnish melancholy & darkness, but maximum amount of awesomeness & good times in this video. Never surrender!”
