The Night Flight Orchestra (Soilwork, Arch Enemy, Etc.) Premiere “Paper Moon” Video

The Night Flight Orchestra (Soilwork, Arch Enemy, etc.) have released a new holiday single titled “Paper Moon.“ The track features violinist Rachel Hall and an official video for it can be found below:

The band commented:

“So, just in time for the Christmas Holidays, The Night Flight Orchestra are releasing their new single ‘Paper Moon‘. A moody Swedish melodrama over an enticing discobeat, the song is about all those emotions that you usually are able to repress, but which come bubbling up to the surface whenever sentimental times like Christmas are approaching.

It’s a song about the ones you love, but also about the ones you loved and lost, and the ones you loved from a distance, but who disappeared from your life before you ever had a chance to tell them how you really felt. And you’ve tried so many times to silence those voices in the back of your head with Champagne and painkillers, but it never really worked, did it?

‘Paper Moon‘ is the soundtrack to all your past failures, but also to new, shaky, hungover beginnings.”

The Night Flight Orchestra (Soilwork, Arch Enemy, Etc.) Premiere “Impossible” Music Video, Stream Cover Of Cheap Trick’s “Reach Out”

The Night Flight Orchestra (Soilwork, Arch Enemy, etc.) have premiered a new video for their new song “Impossible.” You can check that out below. The single also features a cover of Cheap Trick’s “Reach Out” on the b-side. You can stream that below as well.

The Night Flight Orchestra commented:

“Some bands might get depressed when the summer ends and the darkness is coming closer. But not The Night Flight Orchestra. Instead, they choose to celebrate the summers that were, the summers that might never come again, but will always be with you, like a tiny sprinkle of Champagne to thaw your frost-bitten heart.

‘Impossible‘ is a song for all the hopeless romantics who are hanging on by a thread to the memories of their vivid summer escapades, hoping that it will help them survive the approaching winter

We thank Bonnie Jean for some amazing dancing on the beaches of California. Sebastian Forslund put several impressions together and created a wonderful video out of it.

The ”B-side” is a cover of ‘Reach Out‘ by Cheap Trick, and everything except the lead vocals and drums were recorded on tour, on tour buses and backstage rooms throughout Europe, before we had to head home because the the borders were starting to close down.

But this is our love letter to you, from The Night Flight Orchestra, hoping that you’ll be with us through the rough winter months coming up.”

Act Of Denial (Soilwork, Testament, Etc.) Premiere New Song “Puzzle Heart”

Bjorn “Speed” Strid (Soilwork, etc.), Voi Cox (Koziak, Victim), Luger (Benighted, Koziak), Steve DiGiorgio (Testament), Kerim “Krimh” Lechner (Septicflesh), and John Lönnmyr (The Night Flight Orchestra) have joined forces in a new project called Act Of Denial. The band are currently working on a new album, titled “Negative,” and their first single, “Puzzle Heart,” can be found below:

Voi and Luger commented:

“This is now just a continuation of what we have been doing all our lives and only now in our ‘older age’ we have done something serious. Of course when it comes to music, at least for us, we wanted to record an album with some of the best musicians in metal music and the ones that we listened to when we were kids.

We are not saying that this is something special what we are doing, but this means a lot to us and basically we are doing this for ourselves and our closest friends first but also for all the metal fans around the world who we hope are going to like our new music. Anybody can do it nowadays and we will support everyone no matter what.

If there wasn’t this COVID pandemic this would have never happened since all of these guys would have been on tour or busy with their own bands. We were playing our whole lives together and we don’t wanna say that the bands we played in before were not good or were good let music fans decide and let our music speak for itself but now this is a completely different story.

When you are getting older you get a better understanding about everything including music and here we are today playing with people who we listen to basically our whole lives.”

The Night Flight Orchestra Premiere “Golden Swansdown” Music Video

The Night Flight Orchestra (Soilwork, Arch Enemy, etc.) have premiered a new video for their song “Golden Swansdown.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Aeromantic.” Guitarist David Andersson commented:

“‘Golden Swansdown‘, the new video release from The Night Flight Orchestra, is a classic power ballad based around the themes of impossible attraction and the difficulties that arise when you let your heart rule your mind. The video was filmed in the pre-apocalyptic late summer of 2019 by René U. Valdes. This might be the last shot of Earth as we knew it. Featuring Rachel Hall on violin and John Lönnmyr on keyboards. Words and music by David Andersson.”
