Watch Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man) Cover Tori Amos’ “China”

Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man) has shared footage of himself performing an acoustic cover of Tori Amos‘ “China.“ He said the following about that:

“Believe it or not, while my band Cave In was writing and recording ‘Until Your Heart Stops’, I was listening to ‘Under The Pin’ by Tori Amos quite a bit. Something about her fiery freedom made me wanna scorch the limits of heavy music. Plus she scores major points for having done a Kurt Cobain-approved cover of ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. The song ‘China’ is from an earlier album of hers – only recently did I become acquainted with it. I love the simplicity of melody, the solid arrangement, and her playful lyrics that tenderly capture the heartache of human nature.”

Watch Cave In, Mrs. Piss, Etc. Members Cover Soundgarden’s “Fourth Of July”

“Two Minutes To Late Night” have shared footage of their host Jordan “Gwarsenio Hall” Olds performing a quarantine cover of Soundgarden’s “Fourth Of July” with Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man, etc.), Rah Davis (Fucked And Bound, Holy Tyrant), and Jess Gowrie (Chelsea Wolfe, Mrs. Piss, Horseneck). You can check that out below:

“Two Minutes To Late Night” commented:

“We covered the best Soundgarden song about Chris Cornell‘s favorite Oliver Stone movie. But seriously, The Fourth of July is a flawed holiday. To quote public affairs professor Peniel Joseph, America is “a country that continues to dishonor the sacrifices made by African American soldiers and ordinary citizens who bled for democracy in international conflicts and on domestic home fronts that denied them citizenship and dignity.” This is not a day for celebration as long as the police keep murdering black people without facing justice. Luckily, this song is about an acid trip.
