Obituary commented:

“It’s time to put away the leather jackets and boots, bust out the FlipFlops & TankTops and prepare yourself for an outrageously, awkward yet undeniably amazing evening that could possibly turn into the best night of your life.

The Florida Boys are at it again and are firing up the RV, checking the brake lines and high tailing it out of town and heading your way…so breaking out the SunBlock and prepare to Rock!

The EastCoast RedNeckRun III is about to go down and we need to know two things…who’s joining us and is the Beer Cold? Contrary to the Apollo-13-Mission, failure is an option and so are Shoes…but having a GodDamn GoodTime is a none of your money back guarantee!

This isn’t Rocket Science nor have we ever claimed to be scientists or the smartest band in the world..we’re just thirsty, ready to jam and hope you are too. Where will WE see YOU?

We’re just happier than a puppy with two peters to be headed back out on the road.”

Left To Die (Gruesome, Ex-Death, Etc.) Planning To Perform Death’s “Leprosy” In Full On Summer Tour

Left To Die, the band featuring Terry Butler (Obituary, ex-Death), Rick Rozz (ex-Death, ex-Massacre), Matt Harvey (Gruesome, Exhumed), and Gus Rios (ex-Malevolent Creation), are planning to perform Death’s “Leprosy” in its entirety on their upcoming summer tour. Dates for that trek have yet to be revealed.

Butler commented:

“After the recent Chuck [Schuldiner] tribute shows that Matt, Gus, and myself did, Rick posed the question, ‘Would anyone want to see some ‘Leprosy‘ shows?’ With a resounding ‘yes!’, the masses had spoken. Matt and Gus threw their hats in immediately and, in my opinion, they were the only real choice to bring this thing to life. Left To Die coming your way soon!!”

Rozz added:

“It’s going to be an absolute honor and pleasure to play these 34-plus-year-old songs on stage with Terry after all these years, along with the talents of Matt and Gus. It’s gonna be brutal!”

Ex-Death Members James Murphy And Terry Butler To Perform “Spiritual Healing” In Full During Chuck Schuldiner Tribute Shows

Former Death guitarist James Murphy and bassist Terry Butler will be commemorating the 20th anniversary of frontman Chuck Schuldiner’s death with two tribute shows at The Brass Mug in Tampa, FL. The concerts will be held on December 11-12 and they will find Murphy and Butler playing “Spiritual Healing” in full with Gruesome drummer Gus Rios and Exhumed frontman Matt Harvey. Death tribute band Symbolic will also perform.

Kill Division (Megadeth, Gruesome, Etc.) Premiere New Song “Cultists”

Kill Division, the band featuring Kyle Symons (ex-Malevolent Creation), Gus Rios (Gruesome, ex-Malevolent Creation), Jeramie Kling (The Absence, etc.), and Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth, etc.), have premiered a new song titled “Cultists.“ You can find a lyric video for that below:

Rios commented:

“I would say that Kill Division sounds like what if [late Terrorizer and Napalm Death guitarist] Jesse Pintado was from Florida! This is most aggressive and extreme stuff I’ve ever written, and having two massive grindcore dudes like Dirk and Kyle as quality controllers was key to the songs coming alive! I’ve never written ‘grindcore’ per say, but after what we have all been going through, I had quite a bit of rage inside of me and grindcore was the perfect vessel for that release!

I had been doing an online show on the Sick Drummer Magazine Facebook page last summer called the Gus and Seth Metal Show. Every week we would choose a band to talk about, then play some of their songs live. It was a lot of fun and Kyle had watched a few episodes. He eventually contacted me to do an episode, which I was super stoked about!

Kyle and I were in our first band together back in the early ’90s called Sickness, so we go back to the beginning together! We also did our first tour together with Malevolent Creation back in 2002. So Kyle does the Massacre episode with Jeramie Kling on drums and we had a blast! Fast forward, Kyle’s down for another album and I wanted to write an assault of grind, punk and death metal. I knew my brother Dirk would be down too and when I told Jeramie about it, he goes ‘I’m on bass, yo!’

‘Cultists‘ is good indicator of what Kill Division is about: speed and aggression! The lyrics are my views on current and not so current mindlessness. If people were empowered to think for themselves, they would then soon realize that we’re much more alike then they want us to believe.”

Exhumed & Gruesome Announce New Split Release

Exhumed and Gruesome have announced a new split release titled “Twisted Horror.” The effort will be available on June 5 and it will feature three songs from Exhumed, “Rot Your Brain,“ “Buried To Die,” and “Dead, Deader, Deadest,” and two songs from Gruesome, “A Mind Decayed” and “Led Into The Dark.“ You can stream Exhumed’s “A Mind Decayed“ below:

Matt Harvey commented:

“As everyone knows, it’s a weird, surreal time for us all. So many plans have been disrupted at this point, it’s academic to even get into, but one thing that we didn’t want to postpone was this new Exhumed / Gruesome split record.

With so many of us stuck at home, we’re all depending on Death Metal to keep us sane more than ever, so we figured why wait? We’ve also been working on a US tour featuring both Exhumed and Gruesome (and some awesome special guests), and as soon as it’s realistic to announce something, we will.

In the meantime, here’s new music to warp your impressionable minds, so tune in, turn on, and rot your brain!”

Pre-orders can be found HERE.
