King Parrot Premiere Animated Video For “Kick Up A Stink”

King Parrot have premiered an animated video for their new song “Kick Up A Stink.” This track is from the band’s new EP “Holed Up In The Liar,” which was released today (October 9). Matt Young commented:

“When the opportunity arose to work with Mike Foxall on a new video, we couldn’t pass it up. We were already fans of his artwork and his videos are awesome. His style meshes seamlessly with what we do, so it made sense to get this collaboration underway. The result speaks for itself, another chapter of King Parrot absurdity.”

King Parrot Premiere New Song “Nor Is Yours” Featuring Phil Anselmo

King Parrot have premiered a new song titled “Nor Is Yours.” This track features Phil Anselmo (Pantera, etc.) and it will appear on the band’s new EP “Holed Up In The Liar,” which is set to be released on October 9. King Parrot’s Matt Young commented:

“When we came up with this song, it was distinctly different to anything we had written previously on any of our records. It has an up-tempo groove that reminded me of an AC/DC riff if it was played by a grind or hardcore band. My head was busy trying to write lyrics for the other tracks, and this one through me a curve ball. Luckily, we had our ol’ mate and one of the most prolific heavy metal vocalists of all time, Phil Anselmo, lounging around in the studio. He accepted the challenge to write and direct the lyrics and also add some vocals in for good measure. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did writing and recording it.”

King Parrot To Release New EP “Holed Up In The Lair”, Premiere New Song “Banished, Flawed Then Docile”

King Parrot will be releasing a new EP titled “Holed Up In The Lair” on October 9. The effort will feature four songs including: “Banished, Flawed Then Docile,” “Blunder To Asunder,” “Nor Is Yours,” and “Kick Up Stink.” Pre-orders can be found HERE and “Banished, Flawed Then Docile” can be streamed below. Matt Young commented:

“Usually, King Parrot always tries to write music together in the same room, but that just hasn’t been possible for us because of the lock-down. We were planning on re-working these tracks for a new album eventually, but when all the restrictions came about, we thought, ‘Why not get these tracks out there as a special limited-edition seven-inch release?’ We think King Parrot fans will be happy with these tracks. It’s rude, loud, fast and grimey and we poured our heart and soul into them; there’s no doubting its unabashedly King Parrot!”

Scour‘s Derek Engemann and John Jarvis recently recruited 99 musicians, including members of Pantera, Trivium, Mastodon, Arch Enemy, Exodus, Testament, Butcher Babies, etc., to guest on a special “99 Bottles“ benefit single. That track has since been released and can be streamed below. Proceeds from it will be donated to Old Dog Haven in an effort to help out senior dogs. Jarvis commented:

“In conjunction with our friends at Old Dog Haven and The World Famous BOOZEHOUNDZ (Derek & I’s satirical overly drunk punk band) we present the “99 Bottles” out on International Dog Day!!!”

Engemann added:

“This has been an epically fun project involving the entire Metal scene, and even a few Ska bands! This project originally began back in 2013, but was brought back to life once we discovered Old Dog Haven. The “99 Bottles” has truly shown the good side of humanity during these wild times that we are in. I was amazed at all of the people who were eager to sign up for a verse. Winston, Clementine, Tasha, and The Boozehoundz thank everyone involved, and thank you to everyone who takes the time to give this insane track a spin!”
