Organizers issued the following statement:

“Riot Fest 2021 is almost here. Finally. It’s really happening. Unfortunately, Nine Inch Nails has cancelled all 2021 shows, including this year’s fest—with that, Morrissey will play Thursday curated with very special guests, and Slipknot will close out on Sunday.

All 3-day and Sunday ticket holders now get access to our Thursday Preview Party! And to benefit our Chicago community, tickets are on sale now for Thursday with all proceeds going to Chicago Coalition for the Homeless and other TBA organizations.

Stay tuned for more info and announcements, including a second wave of Riot Fest Late Night shows which will be announced this Friday, August 20th.

Our fans deserve something amazing and we can’t wait to be together again. We’ve been working around the clock to make 2021 even more special—so that hopefully for one weekend, we can escape the world and find comfort in the music and people we hold dear.”
