I’ve been a Type 1 diabetic for almost 20 years now. Not gonna lie it’s a real shitty but manageable disease. It’s very different than Type 2 diabetes in that it has more to do with genetics and or environment. But fact is if you want good control (or to cure your type 2!), it all starts with Diet and exercise. Anyone living with this disease, know that you don’t have to let it control your life. You need to control the disease. I’ve been living my life and traveling around the world for 20 years with it. Don’t let this disease stop you from doing the things you wanna do. Unless you want to enter a pie eating contest. I’d say skip that 💩!!! 🤪✌️ Shout out to @jordanfperform for keepin me in line! #fuckyoutodiabetes #fucksugar

Prophets Of Rage Premiere “Who Owns Who” Video

Prophets Of Rage (Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill) have premiered a new video for their song “Who Owns Who.” This track is from the band’s self-titled album.

The group commented:

“‘Who Owns Who‘ music video was created by VA • the Artist who runs his own charity, V For A Cause. V For A Cause aims to help underprivileged children by raising money for various causes through art. All the money for this video is being donated to this charity. Through art, Vasilis has managed to help children in need.”

This news comes after the band recently released a new song titled “Heart Afire.“

Avenged Sevenfold Cancel Summer Tour Due To M. Shadows’ Vocal Issues

Avenged Sevenfold have been forced to cancel their summer tour with Prophets Of Rage and more due to M. Shadows suffering from vocal issues. According to the singer, “doctors feel that 3 months of no singing and voice rest should get [his] chords back on track.”

Here’s Shadows’ full statement:

“There is no good way to start out a note containing bad news but here it is.

After Europe I came down with a terrible viral infection that rendered me voiceless.

I tried my best to take care of the situation with voice rest, medication and doctor visits but my voice was only getting worse.

After a week of steroids the swelling went down enough to see the cause of the problem. A blood blister has formed on my vocal folds and is preventing them from vibrating properly. In short, I can’t sing anything at the moment and the more I attempt to the more damage is being done. Luckily, as of now the doctors feel that 3 months of no singing and voice rest should get my chords back on track.

Unfortunately, this means we will have to cancel all tour dates at the moment.

Decisions like this weigh on me very heavily. It’s a tour I was looking forward to very much. I want to apologize to the fans who have spent their time and money booking travel arrangements and accommodations. I also want to apologize to our crew and the other bands who were depending on this tour.

None of these things are lost on me.

Just know that I have exhausted every possible solution in trying to get out there and perform for you. It just simply can’t happen at the moment.

We have a few things coming down the pipe soon that should be fun so we hope you look out for those.

Again, I am deeply sorry and hope to see you all soon.

In silence,

Prophets Of Rage Complete Work On New Album

It looks like Prophets Of Rage (Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill) have completed work on a new album. Bassist Tim Commerford (Rage Against The Machine) confirmed the news to Kaaos TV and also said a new single is coming on July 7. Here’s what he had to say:

“As far as I’m concerned, [the debut album] was a great imprint of us as a band. We made a record, and it was an imprint in time, and we did that. And we’re on to another record now; we’ve already finished a 13-song record that we are just in the process of just putting together at this moment in time. So there’s a lot going on. We have a new song that comes out on July 7th. And it’s on to new territory, new sounds and new music.”
